Natural Titanium, of course smile.gif You upgrading or not this year, bro?
*
Haha yeap can’t decide blue titanium or natural, mostly natural coz I’ve been going for colour of the year every cycle, same as you biggrin.gif thinking should I get outright or continue contract 139 with maxis and skip all the trouble porting over to Hotlink etc..

apple.com for sure

apple.com/my precisely..and nope official Apple website offers nothing (zero) compare to AASP who offers either free 2nd year extended warranty, or cheap protection plan tie together with purchase etc etc…but have to agree Apple website is the safest coz you won’t miss the delivery, and if defected unit scratches etc they will replace 1:1 without question..

I though only senheng/senq offer 2nd year warranty for free if you had their member hmm.gif
switch or machines had their own 2nd year warranty (purchase separately), but does people buy it rclxub.gif
if applecare+ is here then different story icon_idea.gif
*
yes senheng and iirc there’s another one…tmt? Switch offers extended 2nd year for additional rm49, plus you get membership points that can be used for next purchase worth of rm60-70..

Oh wow, I found another unicorn, hahaha. I thought my wife is the only person I know of who is annoyed with Apple being forced to switch to USB C. She loves her lightning cables. Unlike me, her last Android device used a micro USB port (the Galaxy S3) and have been using iPhones since the 6 Plus. Also she never transfers anything out of her phone so USB C means nothing to her, hahaha…
This will make it even harder to resell your iPhone devices in the future… Dah lah battery health got so many buyers ask this and that di… laugh.gif
*
yea I never transfer data too so usb c is totally useless to me..and yes now with cycle count its another layer of headache when selling devices..same as macs haihz

But you do have a MacBook or an iPad Pro using USB C? If so then you would appreciate the same port on the iPhone now ma…

Yeap that’s something to look forward..but still cannot campak lightning cable coz not planning to upgrade AirPods Pro..maybe when pro 3 is out..so still gonna keep it around for a while biggrin.gif

Any 20W USB C PD brick will do bro… Can take your pick from the branded ones to the super cheapo ones - but best avoid the latter!
Haha, yeah same, unless you get a wireless charger for the AirPods Pro? But I’m keeping my lightning cable too…
*
watch ultra’s wireless charger actually works on airpods, but it charges really slow so I still charge using cable..anyway won’t be long till the new AirPods Pro arrive..probably next year..then memang can ditch lightning cable for good biggrin.gif

This is under their iPhone 15 PO FAQ. and Maxis do offer 79 plan now although I know its impossible we can PO with 79 plan haha
Well, misleading info from website again? LOL
*
Lol not sure who’s right, but I assume walk in centre would be accurate coz I told her I’m going to PO tonight so pls don’t give me trouble…

Actually not surprising as the minimum has always been MOP128, now with 5G, 139 it is..

From what they told me when i cancelled my current contract, you can choose the plan on pre-order. So even if you choose 79 plan like what i did, you can still pre-order but have to choose whatever minimum pre-order plan the iPhone is on offer.
Only that you can't choose a plan lower than your current one, that was the reason i chose the lower 79 plan so i can decide what they have when the pre-order is live.
*
IIRC, if you are on the 79 plan now, let’s say you wanna PO the 15 pro max tonight, they won’t let you pass until you get it upgraded manually via walk in or call customer service…don’t remember there’s an option to opt for plans during website PO, only doable at the stores post launch..

I thought they said if you have less than a month left in your contract don’t have to cancel and can pre-order? WTF… hahaha..
I kinda expected this bro…
I think for the plans lower than 139 maybe can only buy on Zerolution - which is useless coz no subsidies at all.
*
Haha no more bro since iPhone 12 I think, they won’t waive even a day early lmao

I just called Maxis CS and he confirmed that there are Pre-order plans starting from the 79 plan as well for the iPhone 15. He said there is no minimum plan you need to be to go for the pre-order.
He even said supp line can go for the pre-order, however they only have zerolution plan for supp lines.
*
yea i think they have different tiers, i.e for 15 pro's onwards minimum is 139, for iphone 15/15 plus etc they should have other plans..

Wahh I’ve been told by a few different SA from different walk in centers that we can’t even have 1 day contract remaining to be entitled for PO…now website say can be done as long as within a month? haihz

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Sep 21 2023, 11:59 AM)
doh.gif  At least yours is only Rm33. My friend paid Rm380 to terminately his contract early so that he could pre-order. But I heard from my cooperate line manager that you can renew your contract 4 months prior to end of contract. Im not sure if it applies to personal lines as well.
*
Wahh 380 I would rather get outright, unless he got other reasons like company entitlement etc..

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Sep 21 2023, 12:13 PM)
Any Telco released their prices?
*
They normally only release when it’s closer to PO, to avoid people jumping ship or porting to other telcos

same boat, my contract expires 7 October 2023, had to pay penalty to clear my account too.

Haha yea many of us we PO same time for iphone 13’s biggrin.gif

QUOTE(attw @ Sep 21 2023, 01:55 PM)
I think if you walk in they will waive, but it’s strange they put on their website if your contract has less than a month left you can preorder but then they tell you something else when you walk in. Hmmm…
Mine is 7 October too. I’m not gonna clear it and just wing it tonight, haha. If cannot then cannot la, I’ll walk in next week or whenever the stock becomes available. That RM4k-5k sitting in my bank account for longer won’t hurt me laugh.gif
*
They might waive if you walk in, but not before preorder…after official launch I think they might do that..

QUOTE(attw @ Sep 21 2023, 02:32 PM)
So my dilemma is this: I am on legacy 128 and have a sub line at 48. I also use maxis home fibre 300mbps which I pay 149 (I enjoyed a loyalty discount of 30x12 months till last month too, which was nice). But essentially my data is already unlimited whether I pick 79, 109, or 139. Which is why I’d like to see the phone prices to the corresponding plans before committing to a two year contract. If the savings isn’t substantial then I’m not opposed to buying the device outright and not be tied to a contract smile.gif
*
yea bro we're on the same boat, I was on legacy 128, with 2 sharelines (48x2), home fibre 500mbps (also enjoyed the loyalty 30 off x 12 months). This morning did an early termination and paid RM33.70... I am also waiting to see the device price and subsidy before committing, but have gotten everything ready just incase...the good news though, going 139 on the principal also "unlocks" 5G for both my sharelines (theirs remain 48/month)... now with such commitment (139 + 48 + 48 + 189 (or 219 when loyalty ends), that comes up to about 450 a month... if the subsidy is not that great I'll just grab from outright and change my packages... what I have in my preliminary mind now is to lower my principal to RM60 hotlink x 3 lines (so 180 compare to 235), might also consider lowering home fibre to 300mbps so thats about RM100 less commitment/ month x 24 months = 2.5k? maxis subsidy for sure wont get close to that..

P/s: Also if get outright from AASP we might probably get some free/cheap 2nd year extension or membership points credit etc etc etc...

If you leave less than Rm60 in your account then it will not renew. But calls and data disabled.
Yes. Its actually like contract already. Every month must spend Rm60, just like postpaid. Compared to last time when we reload credits into prepaid, if we dont call or buy any passes the credits remain.
*
so it works like regular postpaid, direct debit monthly also..then there isnt really much differences than our 129/139 plans lol

I don't get it though, pay RM60 you get unlimited calls, 5G you get 70 + 30 gb which is more than enough for most people...you said if we don't call our credits remain? isnt calls unlimited? then credits remain can be used on what? lol

Nolar... I said if you dont use credit remains is for the old prepaid plans. The above new prepaid plans work like postpaid. Your Rm60 is actually monthly subscription fees. So every year you still pay Rm720 whether you use it or not just like postpaid.

The difference is a lot. You only Pay Rm60 vs Rm139 for postpaid. You save like Rm79 per month which is a lot. It doesn't make sense to use postpaid now right?
Yes. But nowadays, mobile data is most important. More important than call plans.
*
yes literally no reason to go postpaid now... only thing is the device subsidy, if they offer RM1.3k as usual then not worthy.. RM60 is the way to go biggrin.gif

I’m facing with the contract dilemma too! PO the iPhone 13pro with maxis 2 years back, I’ve called 123 and they reassured that if your contract left with less than 1 month, you can PO tonight. But when I walked to maxis Centre at the gardens they told me I need to pay penalty to PO, what la maxis…..
*
QUOTE(Lego Warfare @ Sep 21 2023, 04:47 PM)
I would follow their own website advice, it is black and white saying less than 1 month is ok.
*
QUOTE(doppatroll @ Sep 21 2023, 04:51 PM)
it depend on centre linear if they want to waive or not.... so far i only manage to get waive only once out of 5 contract that i hold with maxis until now.... the contact was about a month away from expire....
*
hard to trust anyone these days, all trying to push blames giving us different answers... to avoid problems though, just pay it if its not much... I'm more anxious on their price plan, very likely going to buy outright after seeing all the competitive prices from telcos...dont think the device subsidy can offer half of what we can save..
