The usb-c 3 from epal is dayem expensive as expected at  RM399.

Whats the different time to fully charge compare to Usb-c 2?
Whats the best price around? Worth to buy?

EPAL brand lor... everything is premium priced on EPAL. laugh.gif

how many of you have already booked/purchased the unit , raise your hand  laugh.gif

If anybody claims to have pre-ordered a unit then they would be bluffing. Pre-order starts on the 15/09 for first tier countries.

Still feel like physical sim is more convenient while eSim is more better for travel (data roaming)
*
Physical sim is definitely more convenient. You dont need to go to the telco to get your bar codes everytime you switch your phone.

But Esim better for travel? Usually counters selling sim cards overseas for tourists would only have physical sim cards ready. Then again, I only use roaming nowadays to avoid the hassle of hunting for a sim card when Im overseas. Once landed just turn on phone and start using.

nowadays, u can buy travel SIM online directly even weeks before your travel. they will provide you with eSIM/QR code
*
Good to know that. But I will still stick with roaming on my current telco for convenience and piece of mind.

anyone experience pre order from SG apple site ? how fast need to order to get it on 1st day pick up ? ill be in SG on launch weekend.
*
You need to order on launch date and time of course but select Apple Store pickup. If all 1st day in store pickup are taken, then you could try walking in to any Apple Store there to try your luck. But usually SG Apple Stores restock quite fast.

Waiting for this case to release for iPhone 15 Pro

https://shopee.com.my/Sanptoch-Diamond-Glas...a2-be1789200810

I bought a few of these in the past, quality is great for the price. Clear back akin to tempered glass, and TPU side bumpers. There is no discolouration in the back, but there will be at the side bumpers over time. But considering how cheap it is, you can easily buy a few to replace.

I've dropped mine from 5 feet in multiple angles in the shower and no cracks or dents at all. Slim yet protective, light and transparent - ticks all my boxes.
*
Wow... even cheaper than Nillkin cases. Should be a good buy. If you dont want discoloration, get a darker coloured one.

AndrewTST is looking for this. Without the magsafe ring at the back.

It's so cheap you can even order a few lol. I'd like to have the MagSafe ring option behind as well, but it doesn't look nice with transparent case so I couldn't be bothered. And I don't really use wireless charging much anyway.
Really, I have bought many more expensive cases, e.g. Rhinoshield, Casetify, Mous, Spigen, Uniq, UAG, Burkley, etc and this cheap transparent case is still my favourite as an overall package in terms of slimness/design, transparency and protection.
Not to mention it doesn't have those obnoxious branding name/logo displayed on the case  biggrin.gif
*
Yup.. Nowadays I dont buy casings costing more than Rm30. Buy these cheapo ones (good quality ones) and just change them as when I like. Gone are the days when we buy Rm500 cases which is plain stupid to think back now. shocking.gif

1) Iphones 15 wont ship with a charging brick / plug.

2) You can use back your above plug and use any USB- Type C cable to charge.

You dont need a USB C to USB C cable to charge your new Iphone 15.

then i need go get plug that has usb c (since apple cable now is c to c ).
*
No need. Just use back your current Iphone plug. Get any usb a to c to charge your phone. Im sure you have one lying around that you use to charge your android phone.

If you want to use the supplied cable, then you need to buy a new charging brick/adapter.

There are many types of powerbank on the market right now. So it depends on your needs. Again, you can use back all your existing charging brick and powerbanks. Just get a normal usb type c cable and you are good to go.

Yep, that's why i mentioned i'm waiting for them to come out with the 15 variant version sweat.gif
I tried few other cheap transparent slim cases, but still found that one to be the best...
No problem, only problem is the 15 variant not out yet lol
If possible i'd like to go naked hahah. I'm gonna wait for drop tests to see if the Titanium can withstand dents/scratches from 5ft. If yes this will be the 1st time i'll go naked with only tempered glass as protection
*
Haha.... No matter how careful you are, there are bound to be micro scratches. If you can live with that then go on with caseless.

Since the Titanium side bezels are now brushed instead of matte/glossy, micro scratches will blend in better i think  biggrin.gif
If it could really withstand dents and obvious scratches i'll definitely consider going naked this time round.
*
The bezels be it alluminium or titanium is just not meant to be bump Dents are for sure if you drop it. Titanium bezels are just meant to make the materials used to make the phone sound exquisite and expensive.

Just wanted to weigh in on this SenQ/Senheng extended warranty. Long ago, when dinosaurs still roamed the earth, I bought myself a HTC Diamond from them (that shows my age). It went dead after 15 months and I brought it back to them to claim the extended warranty and I was told that after the manufacturer’s warranty has expired, their in-house techies will take a look at them. I’m guessing back then their techies are more well-versed in electrical appliances, coz I didn’t get my phone back till more than 2 months later. Since then, I’ve always seen their extended warranty as more gimmicky than anything. Still, it’s a nice to have if you’re a member or just paying RM12 to be a member is worth it.
Actually the MagSafe ring in itself is a branding, haha.. I’ve seen cases for other phones with no MagSafe having that ring these days… so weird! Anyways, I will only get a MagSafe case now coz even though I don’t use wireless charging as much, I love how it mounts in the car securely and MagSafe car mounts are really sleek and less cumbersome than the traditional phone holders!
I suspect he’s just making conversation, hahaha. Likely he will change too as he does every year laugh.gif
That’s an archaic view bro, haha.. the ladies love the bigger phones these days. My wife would not touch anything other than a Pro Max. Besides, I’d argue it’s easier for them to carry it around if they are using a handbag. Men with skinny jeans on the other hand…
This happens every year. Everyone bitch about how Apple is not innovating, how the iupdates are too incremental and yet it still sells out.

Or it could just be a ploy from Apple laugh.gif
*
Aiyar.... People give additional one year warranty also complain. No give also complain. Apa lagi Cina mau? laugh.gif Since its free then take it as it is la. Even Apple themselves don't offer second year warranty for free.

will switch/machines allocate stock for walk in customer on 29Sep?
*
If you want to be the first to get your hands on the IP15, best is to preorder. To answer your question, they do allow walk ins but that would depend on available stock on the day itself. So unless you want to be hunting up and down for it, I suggest you preorder.

I hope this means the 15 Pro Max will have better battery life than its predecessor, but judging by the past trends, it should. Based on experience, 11 Pro Max and 13 Pro Max had very good battery life while XS Max, 12 Pro Max and 14 Pro Max battery life was pretty mediocre - well, at least for me. So 15 should be good!
*
I still have my 13 PM and current 14 pm. Don't feel any difference in battery life btw the two though. laugh.gif

Anyways, are you getting the 15 Pro Max this round bro? Perhaps this here can help convince you? nod.gif

Nice! Our corporate line contract was just renewed early this year which was why I got a 14 Pro Max, which is now being used by my better half and I could sell off her personal one previously, hahaha… Anyways, I suspect the plans are going to be more expensive now that they will put “5G” into it…
Hmm, I thought authorised resellers aren’t allowed to sell new accessories till the phone is officially available, i.e. when collected by countries in the first wave…
*
Not going to pay them Rm10 extra per month for the stupid 5G. Its supposed to be available for all subscribers. shakehead.gif I got it for free with UM.

I think sooner or later they will have to let everyone get on the 5G network because that will reduce the dependancy on their existing 4G backbone.

Ya, it’s a matter of milking the gullible fellas earlier first - I remember it was the same with 4G though that lasted for a very short period then it was free for all. Let’s see which telco makes the move first, but it definitely won’t be maxis.

*
Bro.. I got free 5G on my U Mobile more than 1 year ago. That is why I'm unfazed and they keep calling to pester me to pay the rm10 extra per month for the 5G. Not going to pay them a dime. Anyway Maxis won't enjoy the previous notion of wider coverage because all telcos are sharing the same DNB 5G backbone. So it really doesn't matter which telco you go for now because it's all on the same network.

Why impossible? With so many resellers and telcos selling the phones now , it will be a walk in the woods to get one unit. It was easy to get one since last few years so no I don't anticipate any issues this year. All the short of stock news are just marketing ploys to get u guys excited. Lmao.

U mobile undisputedly still has the cheapest plans - unfortunately their coverage is shitty where I live, haha… Maxis has been and always will be the more expensive option, unfortunately. I’m kinda stuck with them coz they are the only telco with decent coverage in my housing area and I’m using the home fibre which means my data is unlimited.
I’m sure I’d lose the adapter somewhere eventually laugh.gif
*
Bro... UMobile, Maxis and all other telcos are now sharing the same DNB backbone for 5G now. If UM coverage in your area is shitty then so is Maxis. laugh.gif
