You look back at previous thread..... How many people claim to own the device and posted here as active as TS. It's normal I only remembered he as the only user.....

Nothing wrong with the post itself. I just have issue that the TS so hardcore promote ignoring all the cons. No issue with the seller or whatsoever. Look back from the thread from start, what I am stated is fact and it's TS who tried hard to promoting regardless of fact.

Lol side story, for eg TS said 5g is just a signal and won't affecting unofficial set. Go look at pixel 7 or 6 thread I think someone shared unofficial set after root got 5g access initally then suddenly got blocked from using 5g by telco. Think twice before listening hardcore fan.

Just sharing some info based on fact and something shared by user. If you didn't tag me probably I won't even open this thread anymore as I already buy 12t pro during 1111 sales, 12gb 256 for less than 2.5k.

For me I won't consider unofficial china set as I have to claim for tax deduction and why I am posting here before is I personally interested in the device. As simple as that.

Interested in this phone, seems like one of the best value propositions available at the moment.

The shortcomings of the China ROM and even post-warranty ownership seem mostly manageable I think?

1. Firstly there's a decent chance you won't need any repairs whatsoever throughout the phone's lifespan (I've yet to make a single repair or warranty claim in over two decades of using various phones, and while of course I know lemons exist, I'm not too worried).

2. If you do need repairs, the cost can probably be offset with how much you're saving on buying the phone itself.

3. The time it takes to complete the repair may or may not be much different from some local suppliers. Just use your spare phone in the meantime.

4. Uncertainty on 5G is a bit of a gamble but maybe can assume it will PROBABLY be ok?

5. Should likely wait for the announcement of the X40 in a few days to see if this one's price drops even further. Unless it's a GIANT leap in performance and features, the X30 Pro would likely still retain a good cost-to-performance ratio.

No intention of adding any fuel to this fiery thread, just my thought process, still undecided for now.
