Was about to ask battery life too then saw posts from you guys

My battery life is now at 95%
Bought my 14 Pro Max in late Oct 2022, so already 10 months+

I don't play game and don't watch videos much. Mostly use it for Instagram and taking pictures only.
I don't charge my phone overnight too

Is it normal?

It’s normal. My wife’s 14 Pro Max (since November 2022) was also at 95% when I just sold it off a couple of weeks ago. She doesn’t game, doesn’t charge overnight and uses it mostly for just social media, calls and texts.

Good to know. I remember my battery life was at 100% for most of the time (even June this year if I'm not wrong), then I checked it 3 weeks ago it was at 97%, then 96% last week and today I check it is 95%.

The reason I check is that I notice the battery tend to drain faster than before


What phone does your wife use now after selling 14 Pro Max?
I want to buy 15 Pro Max but I would have to transfer all my data first before I can sell my 14 PM

So I have another 14 Pro Max which is a company phone, so I’ve passed that to her so she’s using that now. Only change was hers was a Deep Purple unit so now she’s using a Space Grey unit I bought a 12 Mini cheap and am using that temporarily till the 15 launches as well. Ya, usually I would wait till I have the new phone to transfer data over (so I don’t have to do it twice) but I decided to sell the 14 Pro Max off earlier this cycle because of the transition from lightning to USB-C - I have a feeling all lightning port iPhones will be a difficult sell after this (or rather, the value will be significantly lower). Anyways, we’ll see… I could be wrong

My battery can last whole day,only i can see the battery drop fast from 99 to 90

Yeah, we’re seeing very steep discounts on the 9.9 sale this round. I don’t remember seeing such discounts on current gen iPhones before the next gen launches in previous years - probably 700-800 max. Kesian Samsung, they had to throw price for their very new S23 Ultra to compete

They started with the S23 128GB way earlier. Guess nobody wanted a 128gb.

Yeah, they had free storage upgrade at the launch, pay for a 256GB one and get 512GB. If I remember correctly there was no 128GB one at launch hence probably makes sense to have promos now.

the battery consumption of my unit really weird these days during overnight without doing anything (idle after charging)

It can just dropped from 100% to nearly 80% randomly during my sleeping time (10pm or 11pm till next day morning 6am)

Checked the battery graph and shows nothing beside certain time will see Siri 100% but other than that, shows nothing.

Example during last Saturday, 9th Sept 2023:

Maybe should soft reset the phone. Could be a bad update/install or something.

I’ve experienced this in the past - Siri being triggered in the middle of the night for no apparent reason… very horror-movie like, hahaha…
I’m assuming you’ve already killed all apps and done a restart? That usually does the work for me without having to reset the phone..

Yea, did restart but just random

However if u see the battery consumption graph, there is no app at all but the battery just dip drastically
