Preorder in Malaysia website will deliver

If u prefer to self collect and look the phone in front of u on the spot, then choose Machine/Switch
*
Good to know!

Since I am not living in Malaysia now, will only come back in late October to KL to buy iPhone.

Mean Machines/Switch can't pre-order right? Have to pay upfront in full first then collect in store.

anyone who has traded in their iPhones with Machines or Switch can share their experience?

do they specifically specify that the phone need to be Malaysian/SG model? Do they accept US/China model?
*
I also want to know too.

But I don’t think it is a good idea as they normally accept lower price for it. You can get higher price by selling them on your own

And also you better buy new iPhone first and do all files backup and all that before selling your old iPhone

Was thinking to either get black or purple at first , but I think I might get bored with purple after awhile. So I will choose black since it is classic.

2nd choice is gold

Anyone prefer the notch on 13 pro better than 14 pro?

I feel like 14 pro one is more distracting, because there is some little space between the notch and top of the phone

Anyone know how to get this Maybank "Rm250 off Apple original accessories" voucher?

Like I pay for iPhone 14 PM in store with Maybank debit card then can get extra Rm250 voucher?

EDITED : looks like only applicable for 14 Pro, but not 14 Pro Max

Just paid RM300.00 for preorder 14 Pro Max 256 purple at Switch.
Using Maybank CC, they will give RM50.00 voucher.

ETA is 30-10-2022.

Informed the sales guy to call  if other colour is available earlier.

Wow that is long, which is more than 1 months away.

I didn't pre-order yet and will come to KL to visit Machines on 24th Oct to buy 256GB Pro Max (any color will do). Hopefully got stock also if I walk-in

Should I pay deposit Rm300 now for 14 Pro Max 256GB or buy in machine store when I go to KL on 24th October? (Currently at overseas and any color of iPhone will do)

If I pay deposit Rm300 now, it says "Delivery or Store Pick-Up from 3 Weeks onwards", which means it could take longer than that? I will only be in KL on 24th and 25th October.

And paying Rm300 deposit mean, when I pick up the phone in store, I only have to pay remaining price right? Rm5999 (Rm6299 - 300)

I booked a promax 256 from Machines a week ago.  Out of curiosity, I asked whether I can upgrade to 512. I could but they were not sure when I can get it.

Booked as in paid Rm300 as deposit?

If I were you I would order direct from AppleStore if the delivery dates are somewhere near the date you are coming back. Usually Apple Store are very accurate/punctial in their delivery times.
I personally wouldn't bother paying the deposit as I know this is similar to letting someone hold my balls. Anyway, by the time you are back, most resellers should have ready stocks of the Iphones by then.
Never pay deposit for pre-order items without an exact date. Sellers will take you for granted. Because your order is confirmed and cancellation is not allowed, they will fulfill new orders first. Not ethical but standard business practices.
So you would be better off walking in or enquiring for stocks later on where they will try to 'fulfill' your order first than those who booked earlier.

I know this well because I myself is in the sales line too. nod.gif

Yea but no house in KL and no where to deliver to as I will be staying in hotel only. If only there is physical Apple Store in KL where I can just go and pick up .

Yea I think I will not pay deposit now without having exact date. Will just try my luck and go to physical store to find the stock on 24th Oct

Anyway, I just checked apple official website and if I pay now they will only deliver from 1st Nov to 8th Nov.. seem quite long

I didn't know people actually use camera lens protector until I read this thread. Never used any on my iPhone but the camera lens on 14 PM is big and protruding I think I might get one.

Anyone opinion on these 2 from Amazon Japan?

Lens protector is just gimmick, will impact the camera image quality, sometime water or dust will slip inside between lens and lens protector, difficult to clean up.

Iphone lens made by sapphire glass, very durable imo, u just need good quality phone case.
*
Good to know. Can skip the money for camera lens

Just buy good quality phone case + screen protector

For me lens protector is useful

Because putting the phone into handbags directly with keys and other things inside

The lens itself is unhurt

But the black paint around the lens is had scratched and with some silver paint dot.

Even for male, something pocket have coins and keys. Might scratch off the paint/color.

Just buy if u need it

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Sep 30 2022, 04:18 PM)
Right about that. The cameras, especially on the Pro and Pro Max protrudes from the phone body. Chances if it getting scratched is high. I saw a friend's Iphone 13 Pro Max Camera badly scratched, not at the lenses but at the side of it and that is enough to make me put on the Camera TG on every new phone I buy. No matter how you care for your lenses, there are bound to be micro scratches from dust, sand etc. I'm not taking any chances.

How's the camera quality with lens protector? Any glare?

It doesn't mention anything about preorder or fulfillment leadtime, does that mean it's ready stock?

How is it going? Already bought online?
