My 5G is not stable, only able to lock for a while and fall back to 4G

i'm on prepaid and none of my packages the operator is "rahmah" enough to give me access to 5G.
besides i dont see the point in 5G, I dont need low latency or high speed data when I'm out.

My son is in Japan. He can confirm that the shutter sound cannot be turn off whatsoever. He comes back to Malaysia to buy his iPhone.

think so is their law over there. No phones can turn off shutter sound. To prevent the crimes related to spying or sneakily taking pictures of girls.

Yeah it's true. Went to Japan last month and my friend using Japanese iPhone and it can't be turned off. Not sure if it's dependant on the sim you are using? I only do roaming and I can turn off my shutter sound.

think so its just phones made for sale in japan. Japan region sets. Dont think so a sim card can make such feature to be turned on or off. Can it? hmm.gif
In Korea, the telcos there can do emergency broadcasts on the phones tapping their korean lines.. so... maybe malaysia also can but just that our government never uses it? instead they use sms you using those 6 digits 6**** numbers?

Malaysia aman.. less natural disaster. Maybe mostly floods. Yes other countries which have frequent earthquake have those pop up notification. Malaysia only KKM last time send sms daily... I guess SMS is less intrusive compare to pop up notification if it's just to send reminder daily. I think Malaysia does have those pop up notification, it was recently tested by the PM.

Got my iPhone 14 pro since this year Jan, so far everything’s great. The only thing to complain is the battery. As of the time I’m typing now battery 28% from 100% with 6 hours SOT. Not sure whether it’s normal for 14 pro. Need to charge twice on a daily basis. Everything optimised, always on is off, app location off too.

I am not trying to be funny but my response, if you digest correctly, should address the issue as a whole.

I have got the same phone as yours. Like you , I too have optimised almost everything. But unlike you my phone needs recharging usually every third day. Why? It’s my usage pattern. Period.

Hye all, anyone got issue with camera focus while in apps? Based on the problem yesterday, using the shopback apps, need to scan IC inside the box, but the camera cannot focus.

Then use ip12pro, the camera can be focus like normal.

Anyone know how to solve the problem?

Tqvm.

I have not used 14 pro, but 6 hours SOT with 28% is not good enough? And I assume you are not on WiFi, but on cellular right? Charge twice per day with 6 hours SOT each time, means at least 12 hours screen on each day, you are a pretty heavy user 😱

I don’t think my usage pattern is heavy. Mainly on web browsing, YouTube and WhatsApp. Not on data, mainly on wifi. I’m comparing to my other iPhone 12 Pro, which has significantly much better battery life. Just gathering feedback whether my 14 pro has issues or not.

Mainly my phone will be on airplane mode with wifi and Bluetooth, cuz the place I’m staying doesn’t provide good cellular service. Cuz I’m comparing to my other work phone which is an iPhone 12 Pro that I’m using currently with has close to 8 hrs SOT, with heavy emailing and web browsing. Just require one day of charge but same 20% - 80%.

Well, if these were mentioned in your first post then my response would have been different and that was actually my point. Anyway, given what you stated now, especially saying your 12Pro has better battery life, if it were me I would bring it to an AASP to check.

I think this is the standard, I have the unit and with the similar SOT.

I’m happy so far no complaint.

Go check under Settings > Battery and see what apps is draining battery. The usual culprits are FB, Whatsapp.
