vary the speed. if you drive in city with mix of highway no worry, speed for sure varies..

dont do constant 90km/h on highway for the first 1000 km
*
yeah i try hard not so easy to do especially highway hahaha..quite suffer actually

My 2022 Alza X bought 62.5K, Perodua quoted insurance renewal for 2025/6 mkt value 56.4K. That's a drop of 6.1K or 9.76% depreciation over 3 years. 🤔

Should I sell it and get a new Alza every 3 years?
*
how much was your quotation for renewal (i mean for 1 year insurance)? I'm curious how much the p2 insurance costs compared to outside

CyberKewl btw how long you waited for your alza av?
*
about 2 months and a bit only, quite surprised to be honest but my SA told me that production has increased so typical wait time now is 2-3 months but i guess depends on SA/which center also. I bought mine at bukit puchong sales center - bought from a Connie Chiam (highly recommended - she responds quite fast).

Booked on 3rd May, car arrived 9th July and I collected it on 12th July (I could have collected earlier but prefer to do on weekend).

Cause of the waiting period lor  laugh.gif
+combo with Perodua brand = Ultimate resale value

You sell your Alza now, need wait 8 months+ for your replacement Alza to come  whistling.gif

My 2023 Alza AV 75.5k new, just renewed insurance sum insured 70k.. 2 years old car depreciate by 5.5k or 7.2%..

Kinda crazy tbh, dont know how long it will last.. 75k brand new virgin vs 70k 2 years old janda..
I also cant fathom whether 2nd hand market demand out there really got that strong or not..

Oh well, that's one thing syok about owning Peroduas..
My 2019 MG3, 6 and 1/2 years old depreciated by about 30%.. If other brands 6 years old car i think depreciated by about 40%~
*
Did you buy the Perodua total protect plus insurance? If yes, how much did you pay or it?

BTW the depreciation is true:
https://www.carsome.my/buy-car?keywords=alz...&year=2022,2025

Alza 2023 AV is selling at almost 74K (obviously they will buy at lower price, maybe closer to 65?) but still that's 2 year old car at that price is crazy.

This is because of the demand is very high still and many dont want to wait even for 2-3 months (which is current average waiting period depending on SA/which branch) - and want to do "cash and carry" - so the market puts it at a high price. It's just demand and supply. I think this will go away eventually but as long as demand is still high...

same with bezza. if you see this 2023 bezza selling RM 46,800:
https://www.carsome.my/buy-car/perodua/bezz...&year=2023,2025

New one almost 50K - so depreciate less than 4K only for 2 year old car...but again selling to carsome etc you will get lower lah..maybe 40 or 42K if lucky?

after warm up, drive as usual will do. if follow the instruction, u may prolong cvt fluid lifespan.

i try to vary my speed not to stick to one speed (same digit) for too long..challenging hahahaha..not really feel like driving normally..and avoid going above 90 as per manual

RFID is memang stupid. Dont need waste time on it. I dont even bother to activate and bind the RFID to my tng account.

I use back my old smart tag. I wish Alza had the toll reader just like in MG3.
That MG3 toll reader is so bloody good and convenient. Way better than smart tag itself..
*
ugh..guess i have no choice - lucky i got my smart tag as backup with the TNG card...if not susah already...next time when I go back home from work wont use RFID anymore..so leceh..

I've used the RFID frequently on my previous Saga, on my Alza, on my Subaru, very little problem (headlight mount on Saga and Subaru, Alza is from Perodua mounted on windshield).

Likely is the toll gate mounting itself. If you know its problematic, go slower.
*
i went quite slow actually and retried same problem..i went like 10km per hour if not mistaken...i sent feedback to TNG they ask me to try the same toll but go closer to the right wor...wonder if that's where the sensor is..hmm

LOL noted on that guys. will consider trying. now on my way back from work I went to the 2nd left most lane (tng + big lorries + RFID) - that one works perfectly. I might try again next time the middle lane one that didnt work previously by going closer to the right side of the lane and see if it works..if not i'll just give up on that lane haha

I only drive mostly early mornings and night so its bearable to me. smile.gif

anyone tried playing around with pressing brake at different pressures (light VS firm) while eco idle is on to see if the eco idle shuts off the engine or not? read somewhere if dont press firmly (ex stop at toll booth) it wont stop the engine even with eco idle on.

yes, if light press and able to stop the car from moving.. usually it wont trigger auto start stop.. when press deeper then it will..

if you using the eco idle maybe this useful trick for you to better control when eco idle kicks in according to your wish.

but for me idgaf bout this, always turned it OFF. then when battery low detected by system, auto permanent off  rclxms.gif Even change to new battery will still remain OFF.
*
LOL yeah i seem to notice that from few posts here that after change battery it goes off..which is a good thing. but agreed turning it OFF is best, i just have to remind myself to do so every time.

hi guys want to check with you - when you first bought your alza, does it ever appear on NCD checking sites like myeg, Fincrew (https://www.fincrew.my/en/ncd-checker.html) etc?

Mine doesnt show up and according to my SA (i'm on generalli insurance) its because i'm buying through perodua - total protect plus. Even the cover note is from perodua not from generalli, etc.

Is this normal? 1st time buying car with this inside, last time always able to check because never bought car that has this kind of service built-in (at least for 1st year).

Cannot also. Error. June 2025 car. I guess that's pretty normal as shortest period of road tax is 6 months.
*
OK that means normal then I guess. thought my case not normal. Thanks for sharing smile.gif

If you have existing NCD for cars under your name, you can transfer it over to the new Alza. So that your Alza will enjoy the NCD instead..

Did you inform your Sales Advisor about your pre-existing NCD you want to transfer over? Normally they will handle the NCD transfer before purchasing the new insurance for the Alza..

Contact your old/new insurer to find out how to do it..

Anyway, check your NCD here: https://www.mycarinfo.com.my/NCDCheck/Online

If it shows 0%, means your NCD wasn't transferred over and is still with the other car..
*
No i think you misunderstood and I think I wasn't good at explaining either. I had done an NCD withdrawal from my old insurer (they dont have an option to transfer NCD to another vehicle) as per instructed by my SA.

Then I got the Total Protect Plus perodua covernote, which is essentially buying the insurance through perodua (at least for 1st year, doesnt seem like have an option) but it is under Generalli Insurance. In cover note it states 55% NCD discount, so I pay less for insurance already.

However, even after almost a month - checking on https://www.mycarinfo.com.my/NCDCheck/Online or other similar online NCD checker tools, I cannot see my NCD vehicle info - it could be like you said - havent transferred yet, but I wonder how long should I expect it to be transferred? My old Car when I did the query (which has been sold), it showing 0% - so the NCD withdrawal already taken into effect, yet my new car doesnt even have ANY NCD info - not even 0% - it shows nothing, or like vehicle not found - is this normal for a *first year* Alza (or any other perodua car for that matter)?

Ohh, so you already did the NCD transfer..

Then nvm la, since you tried multiple NCD checker all shows 0%.. Maybe cause still new.. But most important as long your cove note got the 55% NCD discount and you paid less for the premium then all is good.
Next year renewal you will see the 55% NCD again dont need worry
*
Well it doesn't show 0 percent now. It can't even find my car or show error like record not exist. But I guess it's to be expected ?
