QUOTE(ktek @ Aug 11 2022, 09:00 PM) I don't think I open volume to 90% before. As changed to android as well as speakers+sub woofer added.. max would be 70% (14/20). If you on 90% and still low sound, there are 2 things: 1. the song has low volume. 2. speaker jammed / pecah. (the speaker cannot move already in/out.) |

QUOTE(ktek @ Aug 11 2022, 09:00 PM) Old or new Alza?Currently using new Alza, when on radio, even 17/18% already too loud for our ears, no way can push to 90. When on Bluetooth can push a bit more, but we haven't cross 25. Just too loud to be comfortable. Edit: So I decided to try it out and it turns out the H variant Alza, volume only goes to 41. Seems like an odd number to stop at. Our comfortable radio volume is like 11, and maybe 15-17 for bluetooth music, so a LOT of headroom This post has been edited by LostAndFound: Aug 12 2022, 05:03 PM |

1st gen alza’s speakers are loud despite being among the worst standard sound system made available. Never needed to turn up the volume beyond 50% though.

I supposed it is quite normal for standard speakers to start crackling sound when pushed beyond the optimum output volume due to lack of power and amplifier. There are many ways to boost and improve the sound output, u can always refer to ICE thread for details.

I got the hardwire kit, which fuse is suitable to be used? The manual lists a bunch of fuses, like for Aircon, starter, headlamp,ABS, EPS etc. Which is safest for me to do fuse bypass? |

No need to hardwire just plug the power cable provided to obd port and parking mode good to go.Question for any old/new Alza owners using hardwire dashcam. QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Aug 15 2022, 10:39 AM) At that price.... I think I don't mind a bit of hassle to open/close fuse box and identify the right fuse. More than 4 times higher than my Z40. Not too sure if SC is ok with 3rd party hardwire dashcam in case of any warranty claim. On the bright side, 1st gen alza is as tough as a buck so hopefully the 2nd gen will continue the legend lol. |

He said is just two principles - first is no cutting any wire, second is if electrical problem caused by the hardwire they don't cover.First one is fair la, if you cut then of course problem. So I asked him about fuse tap, he said as long as no shorting caused by it then no issue. Practically speaking... when I send for service I will just remove the fuse tap. QUOTE(Kiefer @ Aug 15 2022, 05:27 PM) It support (but got weird behaviour, start car the cam will start, then off, then start again). But then no parking mode, hardwire is for that purpose actually. |
