I paid RM220 for Lexin B4FM (share 4 riders) in 2018. I think they increased the price to RM300 plus for nrw model (10 riders). Clear and long battery life. Highly recommended.

I have the freedconn tcom SC. I find it pretty sufficiently loud, even with earplugs in. But then again my helmet is quiet.

It beginning to flake out after a year of use. The connection socket is getting slightly loose due to having to unplug and plug it every time to charge. But then again, I rode 25k over the past year..so considered heavy use. Shopping for another unit to replace it soon. Technically I "could" repair the socket and continue to use it....but for the price, I really can't be bothered.

Any com unit that has a dedicated charge port as to not have to plug and unplug it all the time to charge?
*
TCOM does not have separate charging port.

TMax, Maxto all has. In short, newer ones all will have.

The only funny one might be TMax's charging port. It's micro USB but long type.

First time this brand crosses me.

May I know if this unit is able to mix in navigation alert when you are using intercom mode with other riders?

Yes

From its manual,

With the LX-B4FM you can call hands-free on your Bluetooth mobile phone, listen to stereo music or voice instructions of GPS navigation, and activate wireless Intercom for rider-to-rider or rider-to-passenger conversation within a range of 1600 meters when four units are connected.

5.6 Function Priority LX - B4FM operates in the following order of priority : 1. Mobile phone ( highest ) 2. Intercom 3. Bluetooth stereo music , FM radio ( lowest ) lower - priority function is always interrupted by a higher - priority function . For example , stereo music is interrupted by an Intercom call , and Intercom conversation interrupted by an incoming mobile phone call .

To Answer TS question on Cardo to non-Cardo via Bluetooth connectivity, yes it can be done.. the voice depends, mine one connected to a Sena set then some static sound is heard when communicating.

The biggest issue is if you and your non-cardo rider distanced more than 10m or had obstacles in between, it disconnected and was unable to pair back automatically.

Audio quality on the spirit good? Music all can listen clearly?
*
Yes, audio quality was okie. I need to adjust the equalizer to get the sweet spot for my personal preference. Also i wear ear plugs for long distance Riding it'll get muffled but still can hear the music just without the bass. If you're not using ear plugs max audio can be pretty loud. Also it has auto volume and it'll turn up or down depending on the wind noise. When you slow down the volume will gradually tune down.

Ok, sounds like you have not tried running it in intercom mode, then try to navigate using waze / google map at the same time.

After looking it up, this B4FM seems like product of the same ODM for Maxto, Freedconn and other budget brands.

All I know is, when they (not just Cardo) connect to same brand for intercom, they use a specific frequency or bluetooth profile. When other brand being added, it uses a headset profile and this type of connection somehow has limit on range. I think it's mentioned in my Cardo's or Sena's manual, can't remember which one. I didn't get a pair of Cardo / Sena to test due to price. Just got one each. Sold them away 'cos many friends want the brand biggrin.gif

Take a good look at Maxto M2C, around RM200+.
I was using M2 before they launch newer M2C with Bluetooth 5.1.
Volume level is good, maybe 80% of Cardo.
Simple and just work.
*
thanks.
didn't know about the upgrade m2c model.

been running maxto m2 for a while. no big issues. really worth the RM150 price

Surprisingly, the M2 is my favourite of the lot I had bought and tested (includes Vimoto, Cardo and Sena)

At it's price point, now RM200+, it simply is worth the money.

If battery konk? Buy a new one loh... Cardo and Sena claims to offer battery replacement (which I had seen many returning to shop for repair / claim), at a price. This M2, just ditch and buy new.

Only down side during intercom, which I am still bitching about, no navigation alert from your Waze or Google map.

I have 3 of these "kits"

These connects to Maxto M2, but not Freedconn.

If all intercom is friendly to bluetooth walkie talkie, it really solves a lot of compatibility issue.

M3 just bought, haven't use the comm yet, but picture quality is good but not great.. Stabilization is weak compare to gopro, but not to the point that makes you dizzy la.. recording time as advertised, but with using comm system..

I find that it's rather pointless to buy an intercom that has a built-in camera, because the camera has to be built to such a low price there's just no way it'll produce a satisfactory video.... esp since everyone by default expects action camera-level footages.

I still believe a permanently mounted front / rear "dash cam" on bike for recording is best for the intention of recording unwanted moments and not for socmed postings.

At least the cams are powered by bike and not by battery that runs out if you are going on a long ride.

Maybe for rich ppl will be pointless la.. Can buy top notch of everything.. For average Joe like me who just need it for occasionally recording when riding with friends and doesn't plan to be a Youtuber, it's a bang for the buck.. And also don't need to mount 2 seperate gadgets on helmet.. It's easy to say which is better, but is it really affordable for everyone? If everyone have the extra cash, you think they still wanna bother to search for other brands beside Sena and Cardo?

i use it as dashcam. many times i almost got accident due crazy driver. once there this some uncle make illegal uturn and almost hit me, that video already sent to JPJ, but not sure if they do anything about it . at least i hv proof if anything happened. car driver will always blame motor rider anyway.

and sometimes use it to capture picture in the video for whatsapp group picture with friends when convoy. laugh.gif

and yes, the quality of course cant compare with those action cam, even the cheap 1. because of that price alone, u cant expect to much.
and i lazy to use my gopro because dont hv proper mount for it.

Not so sharp is ok, but are you able to capture number plates at night?
This is more important

well, for night time, to be fair, if the area quite dark, even branded car dashcam also hard to see.
