Change launcher to 3rd party launcher (using Nova launcher now). Default Xperia home launcher is causing this issue.

dont think RX will come back.. ZV series seem is their main focus currently cause people vlog than photoshooting nowadays.. probably get ZV-E10 2nd hand or wait for ZV-E10 II

I don't fancy the 2 years OS upgrades too but in the end I guess it depends you are prioritizing the camera or the phone first. For purely photography and if you post process every picture, the Sony Xperia 1V is an absolute no brainer (applies for video work too). The amount of control you have over the process is second to none.

I think the RX100 went on a decline the moment they switched the f/1.8 lens for a f/2.8 lens for a longer reach and the last few versions were much more expensive. Of course the newer versions come with much better AF tracking, burst etc but perhaps the target market doesn't really prioritize that and the higher price tag. RM4-6k is literally in the compact APSC market already and there are a number of other alternatives.

video is real advantage at Xperia 1 IV/V.. and all those customized button/values are supported by default.. when i did for some interview session, people are amazed that coming from a phone.. of course i also have footage from iPhone but the color is off a bit..

just the autofocus distance within Xperia phone are a bit dissappointed.. hopefully they could have better focus system.. eyes AF tracking, those are good, no doubt.. just distance wise

Sigh I had bad experience with my 1 iii after 6 months the finger print sensor spoil then suddenly whole fone spoil one to one exchange good but I think mine is refurbish unit. I dislike SD 888 coz overheat too fast wanted to test trade in but on Samsung website my IMEI number is wrong....maybe they give me is not Malaysia unit. Not sure if can trust Sony Liao after this

Get the early bird bundle, and sell the Sony WH-1000XM5 premium headphones to recoup some money.

Current market price of Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones is MYR 1,799.
The promotion bundle price of Sony Xperia 1 V now is MYR 6,399.

If you manage to sell the headphones with that price, you would only pay MYR4,600 for a premium flagship phone, cheaper than Samsung and Apple.

The market price for that headphone is around RM1.3k. at Shopee

true .. and free style cover .. for another rm139 ... so total price for the phone will be around 6,399 - 1,799 - 139 = 4,461 (all retail price).

i have ordered online and expected to get only next week .. if i know that .. i will bought at sony store ... i need to wait then ...
