Hi. Anyone using Xperia 5 IV HK set? XQ-CQ72 with 5G connection via maxis? (Not sure maxis 5G is even up yet?)

maxis/hotlink no 5G access yet.. i have celcom, hotlink and umobile sim.. so far only celcom and umobile got access to 5G.. hotlink no..

Nope. I'm using Malaysia set.. but I saw someone mentioned earlier that volte for HK set in Malaysia is working fine..

something that i would see the unique of Sony device is 4K120FPS and eyesAF with high speed burst up to 20FPS across all lenses..

Hi, I am a new owner for 1 iv HK set. Volte is working flawlessly out of the box. But I can't figure out how to enable VoWifi but I check maxis website and it was in the supported list

I don't have it either. If telco support, it will show WiFi calling at bottom of this page.

Same issue , called maxis , pushed the responsibility to phone manufacturer . Managed to forcefully enable wifi calling option , but after enable still not working .

using Xperia 1 IV.. no issue.. so i guess it would apply to Xperia 10 IV only.. all apps? even like FB messenger? Line? Telegram?

game enhancer also updated to v8.2.. it able to Sort apps display in My games list in the game enhancer launcher..
v8.1 previously is can select prioritise resolution/refresh rate in video setting for REC & Steam..
Android 13 time is v8.0. revamp game mode and xperia stream setting..

Was looking at Japan travel sims on Hello1010's Shopee site.

Had asked them if their Japan sim is compatible with Xperia 5 IV and they said no. The reason given when asked was that the chipset is not supported.

Is this a thing? The chipset determines compatibility with travel sims. It's the first time I heard of this. For avoidance of confusion, I'm referring to Malaysia set.

it's meant for pixel device actually, but somehow able to enable wifi calling option in xperia.

if not mistaken you are using Malaysia set right? I called Sony CS before, he said local set should support vowifi but after checking my IMEI and found out it's hk set, they said nothing they can help since not from them.

yes im using Malaysia set.. so far i dont see any Voice Over Wifi option.. my mum using Poco with umobile.. that one do have VoWifi..

im not so confident with local CS knowledge.. cause they giving standard reply and i did ask for certain support before through email.. and they asked me to try out Xperia Companion.. however, Xperia Companion no longer support devices from May 2022 onwards.. but i guess can perform software repair thru that..

Thanks for your info , expecting to have support as listed in maxis supported list plus yours is local set , end up just the same . Rooted few days ago , still figuring out how to solve the vowifi .
