Android 13 update pushed to Xperia 1 IV..

2 great features i would say..
i. Video Pro could take in Portrait Orientation by native without having to edit and rotate the video..
ii. Photo Pro have additional 2x and 10x zoom shortcut button for zooming (digital)
iii. Fingerprint scanner could be only active after you double tap to wake the screen/press on power button to wake the screen.. so it will prevent accidental fingerprint scan at all time

How about normal usages, any lags anything?

no.. animation change a little and looks smooth.. eventually i think thermal control is better than earlier.. scroll HP for long time and dont feel any heat at all..

Phone screen not big enough?! Nvm. I have solution. Connect to 24inch monitor through type C

Super happy with my xperia 5 iv. Consistently 8 hours or more SOT everyday.

definitely better than 1 IV.. i think constantly 1 IV get 6 hours SOT not an issue.. but 8 hours, i guess need full Wifi at home and stay in darker area with lower screen brightness..

Since the service centre only offer 1-to-1 exchange, anyone knows where can possibly repair the back glass panel for Xperia in Klang valley?

as per i heard from sony staff, they provide repair service for IV series.. previous models are 1-1 exchange.. if rear glass panel broke and no impact on phone itself, maybe just use case to cover it?! cheapest way but not submerged into water..

temporarily in taobao i could see Pro-i and previous models original back cover & replacement glue available.. IV series are not available yet..

Hi guys. For 1 iv user, if you shake the phone, any sound like loose internal part? Mine have sound like tik tik tik..

yes.. it's camera lens component there..

1 to 1 for defect during period.. but back glass broke, i guess not consider as defect but human mistake..

But why sony cannot change or replace with cost? Last time i want replace lcd for 1 ii, unfortunately mine is international set, so they reject. If local set maybe can with cost.

Sony can replace 1-to-1 exchange with a cost if your warranty is over.

I checked, the cost is totally NOT worth it. Can get 1x Xperia 1 IV HK set at that price so.. really have to be extra careful with your phone omg.

And yes, you are right. They only entertain local set. If international set, all the best.

wait for spare parts from china in near future.. i saw previous model back cover & the glue total around 100 or lesser.. you could do it by your own too.. if just rear cover broke and need replacement.. else u bought spare parts and go to repair shop ask for their service..

Hye there. I am planning to get 1IV soon. HK set seems the cheapest in Malaysia. Anybody can confirm whether it supports VoLTE on Malaysian network?

5G is now available for Sony Xperia 1 IV and 5 IV. Already listed on DNB website.

I'm using dual sim on U Mobile and Yoodoo on my Xperia 5 IV HK Set.

Updated to Android 13 today, immediately 5G appeared on U Mobile. No such luck on my Yoodoo sim.
