Bro... U said tat u took the Rm850 honda promotion rite... So wat is the loan rate u got??? Do u mind tell me how long and how many % u got???  sweat.gif Stil not yet settle my loan yet even though i book since last month...
*
My loan rate is 2.36% for 5 years (Public bank).
After calculated, the RM850 is more worth then the 2.18% coz the different between 2.18% and 2.36% is only +-RM540 smile.gif

btw, I booked in mid October wink.gif

yup. u want me to call him or u give my number to him?
is this for honda dsi 2.18% rate charges.?

my agent said there's no discount for this new promo .. because the rate is already low.

is it true?

tmrw will go to cheras showroom and check...  biggrin.gif
*
Your agent bluff u only lah, where got no discount one? it juz the matter of want to earn more commision from u or not. U should go to ask several branches and then only decide which branch's SA give u better offer. When I place my order during mid of Oct, I even bargain with my SA of RM1800 discount and he say OK (darn, forget to ask for black and white from him that time), but after the CNY promo advertisement came out, I so happy coz thought my total discount will go up to RM2650 (RM1800+RM850) so I call and confirm with him but he say no way as before that honda's promotion is RM1200, so he give me extra RM600, but now the promo is only RM850 and he only can top-up to RM650 to make it RM1500. As long as he can provide me the good service whenever I need, then I'm OK with it.

MIJA, u can always try go to several branches and use RM1500 as your last discount limit, and see how far they can give u. eg, u can go to branch A and bluff the SA there by telling them u just go to branch B and the SA there promise to give u a discount of RM1600. If branch A's SA really want to get your business/fight for their sales quota, he/she will try to give u the same/closer discount. Once successed, u already can confirmed the sure win discount for branch A and u can move to branch B to bluff for better deal by telling them branch A able to give u attractive discount of RM1800 (ofcoz u must look serious buyer and talk with confidence lah). u will be lucky to get a good discount that better then branch A if success but if fail also nevermind coz after all, u still can turn back to branch A for the sure win RM1600 discount wink.gif

Here is my SA's contact: 0123266117-Lucas. Told him is recommended by Terence wink.gif

Goodluck smile.gif

I choose PJ because he give me good service and good discount. Klang branch especially Actmar there not even come to serve me when I step into the showroom, I need to walk around myself for about 10min only got people come to me. And the SA there even try to bluff me say wat max discount is only rm500.
*
Klang got 2 branches, i go to the Actmar one for test drive but order my ride at another branch (Nanyang) biggrin.gif
Actmar's SA sxxk, refuse to give me nice discount, and that SA who serve me look quite young and seems lack of experience coz I try to ask some City's related question to test how far he understanding for the City and he not confidence to answer me, eg. I ask what is the pinch-free feature for the driver's windows and he told me City no have this feature only Accord and Civic got shocking.gif

I told him I saw the City's spec from the Honda website and it was listed there, how come u say it dont have?? rclxub.gif After that he decide to go one of the City with me and test to find it out and confirmed that pinch-free features was there icon_rolleyes.gif

That fella looks abit paiseh after that and say "yahor, City have this feature and seems u more understand the CIty than me" notworthy.gif

The next day I decide to go to the Nanyang branch and see hows the SA there service. My 1st impression for my SA is: friendly service attitude and experienced, able to provide me any information I'm asking.

Teamwork is very powerful. I reckon we setup something which will alert the consumer regarding the latest Honda City promotion and the HIGHEST discount that can be obtained.

By doing that will allow the 1st time or etc City potential buyers to know whats the bottom line for the discount, therefore having the bargaining power on his/her side.

Well, sounds like the person with HIGHEST discount shall buy us meal. AGREE? rclxms.gif

Added on January 12, 2008, 6:58 pmGuys, I'm quite concerned bout the car's security. Anybody here use the bar-sharp steeringlock before? (the brand name is StopLock) how reliable for thos steering lock? Today I went to the Jusco and saw the T-Rex steering lock (ULTIMATE CH960G). Consider quite high-tech steering lock. Featuring air pressure change detection sensor & shock detection sensor and able to send the alert signal to the owner remote control within 2KM. All is good, just the price is damn expensive (RM699) and they also no keep stock, need to place a booking order and wait for 1 week for the stock arrive if purchase

u may watch the demo vclip here: http://www.megacell.com.my/index.asp

seeking for alternative lock coz pocket dry already blink.gif

Any advise/recommendation for locking stuff?

Another question is the Cobra Immobilizer that come along with the City, reliable? or I should change to other better quality security system?
The original MP3 player faceplate is it detachable or fix?

must be kiasu abit now coz my previous car window kena pecah last 2 years ago and those sxker steal my amp. The funny thing is my car alarm didn't trigger at all and only notice it the next day early morning when I about to go to work mad.gif

my previous car just using the OEM alarm system, but after the incidence happended, i install the shock detection, voice detection and the ultrasonic movement detection sensor system, overall cost me bout RM700+ shocking.gif

I take it as a YES Terence.

Yup, me too. Was shopping in Carrefour and saw the pressure T-Rex stoplock that was priced for 600+ bucks. Anyhow, they have existing stocks already, you do not have to pre-order. Perhaps Terence you should go to Carrefour.

Might go for the Smartshop's lock. It will lock the brake pedal rather than the steering.

terence4ever... Wat tint and spoiler u choose??? Wat is the budget, where u install and brand???
*
Hi emperor^10, I tint vkool elite, and for the rear spoiler, see the attachment. I dont like the duck tail type spoiler, coz look not so cool (no offense, juz my personal opinion) smile.gif

The spoiler RM550 (including the installation and paint work), my SA told me is a Mugen but i'm not sure yet, come with 5 years warranty (maybe outside is more cheaper, but the warranty period maybe shorter). Whereas the vkool is RM1800, so the total is RM2350. All the tint job and spoiler installation is in the Honda showroom.

But I reckon to get most of the things that were recommended by the SA because eventually he/she knew thing better than us. Though it might be a bit expensive ( I presume the different is marginal ), then I do not think its a problem rather than taking the risk to here and there which may cause you major damage in the future.

To me, I rather let Honda to tint my car rather than saving a few hundred bucks by letting the outside dealer to install for me. Anyhow, its really subjective on this issue. The respondent should decide by themselves wisely.

-MP3 player cannot play MP3, only can receive Radio
-Spare tyre not same with the 4 installed typres (spare one slightly smaller and not the original)
-I suppose the audio player comes with the remote control (when I read the manual) but I not receive
-the bonet internal edge found some unusual hit causes spot and they cover it with paint.
-the rubber cover the edge of the window (back driver side passenger seat) not install nicely

gonna send it back this sat to my SA sad.gif

1.) The integrated audio for VTEC memang cannot play MP3 one, unless you get the IDSI version which comes with Kenwood audio which supports MP3 and WMA.

2.) Its correct. Its the smaller version.

3.) As far as I concern, there aren't any remote for the VTEC because its redundant anyhow. ( Assume yours is VTEC)

4.) You have to highlight this on sat.

Where you bought your car from? At least others can try to take precaution when they order from this particular branch.
