QUOTE(jinyee80 @ Jan 21 2008, 11:20 PM) Understood that we have to send for 1st service on 1000km right? Hmm, according to my friend, the mechanics just see see look look only without changing the engine oil and oil filter. Hi, jinyee...I was wondering maybe if I would like to pay for that, are they going to change it for me as well? Congratulations on an investment well made. I was also in your shoes 8,000++km ago, thinking why in the heck bother to just check & look see look see if there won't any changes of what we feel is important??? I later found out that since the lubes that keeps ur engine running is of higher quality, so that's why we don't need it changed at the 1st 1K km.. Well, just to put ur worries at ease, let me share with you my 2 cents worth for the 1st 1K km service: 1. Find out about your car prior to rolling it into the SC. It would be good to notice if there are any irregularity in the revving, the rpm stability, etc... 2. Parts in & out of your car. For example, I also ask them to adjust the wiper sprinkler when i noticed that it was shooting too high, the side folding mirrors were not in-sync, etc... 3. Carwash - should be complimentary... 4. Don't forget your free gift! Cheers, happy motoring... www.teamcity.rules.it |

But if u sum it up, just "ask" lor... I got a HONDA RACING Cap, HONDA RACING Metal Flask, HONDA RACING KeyChain.... Just my pendapat harga dua sen... BTW, folks, did u all know there's an email petitioning for a "no petrol fill-up day"? PM me for details... Cheers... This post has been edited by stevenfah: Jan 22 2008, 12:34 PM |

QUOTE(terence4ever @ Jan 22 2008, 09:39 PM) Thanks, terence... I believe if we control or plan our trips, we can avoid having to fill up on Thursday, for just 1 day... Furthermore, we have one of the most fuel-efficient cars in the world... So, take care, dun fill with H2O! I've got an FC Calculator to share, anyone??? |

QUOTE(jinyee80 @ Jan 23 2008, 10:44 AM) Anyway, the reason for me to request for the engine oil changing for the 1k is because, I was wondering when the engineer casted the engine, there will for sure some metal residues left inside the engine and I doubted they will not clean it out thoroughly before the installation. Hi, jinyee...Therefore, by changing your engine oil for the 1st time, will ensure the residues to be cleaned up. Just my 2 cents. Am I too worry for that? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- By the way, the car did not come with rubber carpet, so, can you guys enlighten me where should I go for it? Otherwise it will be very dirty. Jinyee No need to go for HYBRID... Just some prudent sense of fuel spending would do fine... U're in a City, not a guzzler, ma... (RM0.02 detected...) Anyway, ur concerns bout the residue is genuine, i felt the same way... But believe this, no point paying for sumthg u dun need, right? I am sure HONDA, with their "way-up-there technology", this matter is cut down to the max... That's why they can give us so much benefits thru their Service Centres... Furthermore, the oil they use in the first fill is to "break" the engine... (not literally), means it's meant to let the engine "season up" so it will bound to have normal wear & tear... Otherwise, the car won't perform properly... u know how, like a kid, over-protected, can't venture out into the real world... IMHO lar... Carpet, i'm still using the original one... What's the point of keeping this very nice piece of upholstery under a rubber piece which u need to pay for? (again, RM0.02)... Everything's there for a reason...replacements are in the market for that same reason as well... BTW, fooken.... Where r u??? http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f=20&t=617800&st=0 This post has been edited by stevenfah: Jan 23 2008, 12:23 PM |

QUOTE(kevyeoh @ Feb 4 2008, 01:43 PM) use water wash a few times? kevyeoh bro...aih..i use wet cloth...wipe very hard but still there end up leave more marks...because i wipe too hard...haha i first used upholstery polish... tak boleh then upgraded to car polish... pun tak boleh... decided to leave it as it is... ended up the spot became too slippery even for the anti-slip mat... lastly had to wash it all off (with a damp cloth tainted with a bit of soap), then the anti-slip can stay, but the stain's still there... no need to try liao, IMHO... otherwise it may get worse... go for nice tissue box lor... |

City-zens...
Anyone from around the Puchong / Old Klang Road / OUG / Sri Petaling Area??? Planning a get-together of all City-zens, most namely from TeamCity. Non TC Members are also welcome, as long as we all can learn from each other bout our City, everyone welcome... This get-together will be known as the UnOTT (Unofficial Teh Tarik Session) where we can meet some (if not most) of the Sifus in TeamCity. We may feel "wah, for modified monsters only ler, tak payah lah"... Don't think that way... U'd be surprised to find that the most active of members may even be driving stock cars, like u & me... (FYI: Stock cars = cars that came out of the factory with all fittings, paint & parts intact, not modded...) So, come on down & check it out for urselves... PM me if you're interested to get Time, Date & Venue Details... Trust me, it would be exhilirating... This post has been edited by stevenfah: Feb 12 2008, 04:37 PM |
