I assume that if u do not reach 3000rpm it will be rather good FC..
*
IMO the best is btw RPM 1.8-2 biggrin.gif more than that, will consume more fuel

1.8-1.9rpm can reach 95km/h with vtec..

looking at all the great figures of your cities... really envy~

Going thru other threads and I think City and Vios are the real contenders with good FCs biggrin.gif

STill everything goes back to the golden rule of how polite ur right foot are on the accelerator~

All auto transmission not recommended to do so. Even MT, it will consume more fuel by shift to N while downhill

oh...thx for the info guys...ah,sorry but there is one more thing in my mind...when going up hill wit D i found out tat the rpm is 2.5k at 40km/h...so i try using the 7 gear function n at gear 7 the rpm is at 1.8k...is it advisable to use the 7 gear function when going up hill???sorry for the troubles guys...
*
its normal as uphill will require more power/fuel. for me i will switch to S or L depend how the uphill degree. quite seldom i would switch to semi/manual 7 speed biggrin.gif

Hmm, i doesnt know that chaning N going downhill to D will have an impact for city gearbox. Thanks for the tips guys..

Btw, since the CVT so sensitive, how bout stopping at traffic light or jam? Do u recomend to stay it on D all the way or when stop shift to N? I got a habit to shift it always to N at traffice light before shifting back to D again when light green.
*
runemastertan http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=17937795 got the answer biggrin.gif

I'll depend on the traffic light waiting time, if more than 15 - 20 seconds i will switch to N

Any clue from you to share with us here on your car ? Your car is definately save compare to mine. thumbup.gif Car is all in stock ?

04 iDSI, this feb upgraded to 15" rim as my consideration was 15" more different brands tyre selectable compare to 14", changed to K&N washable filter.

smooth ride style, plan the route to avoid unnecessary traffic jam, try maintain stable RPM btw 1.5-2.0 = my fuel saving method biggrin.gif

Just FYI, one of my respray his front MyVi bumper and it costs him RM180, more expensive as his one has an additional layer underneath to enhance binding of the pigment coat

So, nobody here up for yum cha session kah cool.gif

Oh,your 15" inches soprts rim is seems like lighter than the original 14" inches one. thumbup.gif  K&N washable filter seems like working good on your car.I'm just using the 14" inches original rim and stock air filter, seems like so so only the performance.
*
biggrin.gif its second hand 95% new City vtec 15" original rim

its more budget swap to K&N filter for long term usage biggrin.gif

QUOTE(runemastertan @ Jun 23 2008, 08:10 AM)
I don;t think SC'll do it. Even if they do, they'll cost you, except you nego with SC^^. Just ask SC first, if they refuse or wanna charge you expensive, then go to accessories shop.

both vtec and idsi is good.. but they hav few difference:

1) vtec interior is dark, idsi is beige color
2) vtec has 7 speed steermatic control
3) vtec stock sport rim is nicer than idsi (well to me lah smile.gif )
4) vtec has nice exhaust tips.

so, go for vtec if you need the extra bhp. if FC is your main concern, definitely idsi.

Added on June 23, 2008, 12:21 pmdamn, my front bonnet got this tiny stone chips... the paint pealed off and some minor dent...

how to get it fix? can anyone point me to good workshop? and estimate cost.

thanks
p/s: my vtec clock 17.5km/l this morning... smile.gif
