Er i'm actually replying to this one.. brows.gif

I presume he's mentioning abt the japan release of the new city/fit aria? off course not Malaysian release lorr.. we'll get a new city only after ALL our neighboring country gets them... and i can see a 2009 release for us the earliest trust me.. cry.gif damn long to wait..

thats maybe why honda made the recent facelift so fast after the 4th gen facelift.. they want to 'increase' the shelf life of our current city until say 2009... hmm.gif

BTW, is RM0.17/km really, like, really high???
Wat's the usual for the VTEC??? hmm.gif
*
That's quite high in normal standards @ 11km+/L imho..

but it all depends on driving style and drive condition. your FC will be good if you tend to make long journeys, at constant speed (i.e hiway), but will indeed rack up if you make a lot of short distance trips, before the engine can properly heat up (i.e <20km). Dont expect great FC if you tend to travel short distances a lot.

you can also try and look in here for a lot of Vtec FC feedback and you can at least project what's the best FC for vtec:
http://teamcity.proboards31.com/index.cgi?...read=1124288017

*courtesy of teamcity forums

and yeah.. 26.2km/L is damn BS to me, unless its 100% hiway @ 60km/h, for i-dsi the best i got on a 100% hiway trip (35L) was a mere 22km/L @ 80-110km/h, with the occasional 7speed stints smile.gif .

cheers! thumbup.gif

Yesterday my car alarm rang around 5 am in the morning .. woke up and saw one indian around my car.. .faster took my baseball bat and went out, he ran away but my back car door was open (damn! wonder how he did that) luckily no scratches but can see fingerprints all around my driver door and back door.

I think he tried to open and got scared by my City's loud alarm ...

Almost ..~
*
Crap.. now that's saved by the bell.. erm alarm.. smile.gif Real horror la hearing your story.

Extra locks are a must if you own nice cars like the City nowadays.. if we dont hv the bucks and commitment to subscribe to gps tracking alarms etc, at least buy reliable locks.. dont be so cheap and buy those RM9.90 Giant ones. Go for the stoplocks etc, the t-rex brands are also a cost effective options if your that tight on budget.

What is the on the road price with insurance now for City 1.5 vtec?? Any comment about it?? Heard that is it fuel comsumption very high??

In terms of price, fuel comsumption, power, maintainance and market value if compare with I-DSI, which one is worth to get??
*
Vtec's arent that much of a fuel guzzler when comparing it to other cars in its class (1.5L) imho.. still it depends on your driving style.. if ure not a speed hog, sure easily can get 15km/l in a vtec...

FC -> i-dsi (hands down) - my all time best was 18.6km/l only
Power -> vtec ( brows.gif ..hands down)
maintainance -> if got warranty ( thumbup.gif ) if warranty fin (ready your cash laa.. whistling.gif )

but real bummer la now i-dsi got no 7speed.. come to think bout it i bought the city solely bcoz of the 7speed.. but i really seldom use it, unles overtaking and just to show-off at colleagues.. maybe there's logic in honda's decision to remove it frm new idsi's.. if FC is your concern, by all means go for idsi.. a fuel price hike is just arnd the corner you know.. whistling.gif

So, is ur i-DSi still churning up 18.6km/l? hmm.gif
U get this reading from the fuel calculator in the car or u have something to calculate it? hmm.gif
If u wan the Excel file i mentioned, PM me, ok? thumbup.gif
It's always great to share... brows.gif
What's ur prediction of the next fuel hike? 20sen? sweat.gif  30sen? sweat.gif
*
Hmm.. just got the 18.6km/l abt 2-3 times only.. but i usually rack a 17km++/l almost everytime. wink.gif

Too bad im using a 3gen city, no onboard FC indicator cry.gif Im calculating FC using normal full tank method. fill up, re-zero odometer, and divide total distance traveled with total liters pumped in. As in, if my tank is full at 35L, and travelled 620km, i just divide 620/35 = 17.7km/l

fuel hike eh? its a good thing I bought myself an idsi whistling.gif... by the looks of it, and some rumors ive heard, its expected fuel prices will go up 40-60sen wooo.. im betting on an RM2.5/L...

I have a slight problem now.I have lost both my car remotes but i still have the key left. Now what do i do?I have actually lost one but the other one got into water and now it doest really work, either that or it is the battery.Lets say the remote is gone. How can i can a spare?how fast and how much?
*
Hmm.. obviously the solution is to go to Honda lor.. for sure they can help you out. Or you can try out Cobra Alarm Malaysia's center in TTDI, heard before that they provide repairs and service for our cobra alarms.. summore, if you go to honda, still they'll pass the issue to cobra.. in the end takes more time imho...

really cant help on the cost though...

here's the address if you dont know already:

hi everyone,
can someone provide me information about FC of both vtec and i-dsl? i know i-dsl is good in fuel saving and as mentioned above it was 17km++/L, im just curious about the vtec cuz my friend booked one and the car was expected to be delivered after cny...
and im wondering if we already booked a vtec, can we switch to i-dsl after that?
*
from my experience driving both idsi & vtec City:

Idsi -> 88Bhp
Idsi (maintain 80-100km/h only, RPM <2K) - up to 20km/L +
Idsi (normal drive conditions, RPM 2-3K) - 16-18km/L +
Idsi (always speeding, high RPM >3K) - 13-15km/L +

Vtec -> 110bhp
Vtec (normal drive conditions) - 13-16km/L +
Vtec (always speeding, high RPM) - 10-12km/L +

mind you, that these arent exact figures, these are just what i experienced driving my own idsi and my friend's vtec. But im sure these numbers will give you some idea of what to expect from an idsi and vtec.

Guys, my neighbour just scratch my new city side bumper. Dammit ..
One line of paint came off.. leaving the black color bumper color. It's just 1k millage. Sigh ...

Anyway, do any of you guys know where can I touch-up the paint? Can it be done at the SC?

Need some recommendation. Cannot tahan to see my new car with scratches..

*
If the scratch is not long, deep, or big, you can try DIY touch-up paints for cars. Yo can get a bottle (30ml) for about RM21.90 at Eneos One Utama and paint yourself (or force your neighbor to do it for you tongue.gif). Check your car's color code/name (e.g. Vogue Silver) and then try hv a look see at the paint catalog available there at the shelf. Most Honda car colors are available last time i check.

Dunno its effectiveness though coz i too am planning to hv a try. But it does looks promising.

Hi guys..

Again abt the city carpets..

just a shot in the dark.. but does anyone know how much does an ori set of carpets from honda cost?

was looking for the aftermarket 'hairy' rubber carpets, the ones that the shops need to cut from a huge roll.. but those babies cost abt RM100++

just want to know, if ori carpets cost around the same price, i think its better for me to get ori carpets then..

need some feedback on this..

thanks in advance.

Lol.. so busy no time to post la sweat.gif .. also so long havent been to TC web.. haish..

What you guys think, my 40K major service is coming up, and im not that keen to fork up RM800++ for the service.

Do we have an option to choose what to change and what not to change during service? or its a predetermined package?

summore, is it true that honda genuine service parts are at 25% discount now? normally was 15%, any feedback on this?

thanks in adv!
