Yeah, spend a little more money on a good tint. It's going to be worth it. Trust me. I regret doing mine @ 900++ for Aircool. Heat rejection su*ks big time.

My steering lock could even burned my hand when I park under the sun for a few hours.

Damn.

Added on March 10, 2008, 9:00 pmBy the way, any of you guys experience transmission CVT failure for the recent batch?

I heard from a reliable source that everyday there's still at least one new car having CVT failure. That scares me really.

I thought it was solved by Honda during the earlier batch. But according to my source, they did improved it but the problem is still there.

Guys, I just notice my sparkle grey paint when under sun light, I can see the paint is not even. It's like there's a wave pattern on it.

Should I complaint this to the SC? Do you think they will repaint the whole car for me? It's only millage 3k.

15 bucks for the car wash? Wah. Not necessary 1k service got car wash. Mine don't have. Only perform inspection. I know how it feels when the paint got scratched. especially only one month car. sweat.gif

Now i am waititng for the new glove box come. Now driving at the high level rattling sound from the dsah board...... what to do, wait lol....sigh,,,,,,,,,
*
I have this problem as well for the upper glove box. Did not bring it over to the SC as I scared they might make it worst. I DIY by tightening up the metal holder which hold the closure. I use tape to make it ticker so that it could hold it more firmly.

The sound gone after that icon_idea.gif

Just got my vtec 3 weeks ago. I noticed the km/l meter is not accurate compared to my calculation in average of 14km/l (pump full tank for 2 times). Anyone facing the same problem or should I monitor for a while since I planning to go for 1K service this sat.
*
Mine also not accurate. Sometimes I can get 13km/l but the meter shows only 11km/l. so not really accurate.
My vtec already 3k plus plus but the consumption still around 12 to 13 max. Is that normal? rclxub.gif

the FC meter on the speedo is an average reading based on your current driving style bla bla bla.
its not accurate per every tank u fill in. u have to manually calculate. so dont worry if the reading is not stable. everytime u pump new tank..reset the mileage. keep track on the total mileage. one full tank can go how far.  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
My Full tank around 75 bucks can only go average of 430km (city driving - Penang island) shakehead.gif
I did keep track my calculation. Maybe I can post it up later .. icon_rolleyes.gif

Anyone in Penang knows a good body workshop? Fix dented and paint?
My 5 months Vtec got knock at the side door. (dented and minor scratches)

I know bringing this back to Honda will cost me a bomb (they still sub it out to outside shop)
So I was thinking go straight out.
What I'm worrying is the paint. Will it fade after years? As our original paint that came out from factory has a protection layer on it right? Wonder if the outside workshop did that as well?

Color - Sparkle Grey

you can try the workshop behind kah motor service centre at sg. pinang
it's located in the same compound where they store their new cars while waiting for delivery
the workshop is the bodywork panel workshop for kah motor too
go direct and save some money rather than going through kah motor
my car's bumper got hit while it's less than 2 moths. sent there for repainting, workmanship and quality is good as new
look for a young guy, Yap, i think
always has a cap on.

Thanks for the information electron.
I will go ask and see thumbup.gif

is it jz urs???? or other existing 1 oso like dat...any1 confirm that???

but if diameter same....no harm right....its a spare....not main, after all u going to keep it unused most of the time....
*
They always give the spare tire smaller than our outside 4 biji one.
It's definitely not 15".
It's either 14" / 13" not too sure but confirm is smaller.

as far as i know, there are no temperature indication
it will only appear when is is overheated.
otherwise no signs.
7speed mode :
when u in D mode, press the "7 speed mode" at your steering.
then u can control it by pressing up and down.
this manual mode doesnt work in N or P gear.
to off : press the "7 speed mode" again.

Note: stupid function la ~ i dont think anyone use it in daily driving
*
Got my VTEC for 5 months already but only use the 7 Speed twice.
But the 7-Speed is useful when you climb hill. You can adjust the speed so that you can climb with more power.
That's what I think the good side of 7-Speed.

On normal road, there's really nothing special about it.

let say u climbing cameron highland or genting,
they have so many curves
its hard to concentrate on shifting it manually and turning steering at the same time.

want power when climbing ? i use S..  thumbup.gif
~~ i never use L before... ( already 1.5 years driving )  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
According to my SA, using S when climbing hill will waste a lot more petrol. Not sure how true is that.
How's your FC these 1.5 years?

Mine average 15 cents per KM (city driving) Highest I can go is only 450KM.

What is the standard size for out Vtec? I know it's 15" but the XXX/XX/15.
Will our rims fit other size? As in the width? Or if change have to change the rims as well? I would like to maintain my honda stock rims if can.

Our stock tyre width quite thin. Look from behind it's like a big bulky body on a small thin tyres.

better change after market rim lol.......to 16'' FC not much effect.....i am on 16 right now.....good lloking and handling
*
IC, what is 195? What is 55?
The reason I want to maintain my Honda rims is because I don't want my car to be sporty.
I want it to maintain professional and yet have a larger width to eliminate the "kaki itik" view from behind. biggrin.gif

Anyone change suspension or absorbers to more comfortable ride?
*
Yeah, I agree that my Vtec suspension is a bit hard. When going through some holes/uneven roads, it's like riding a horse.
But there's a reason to it I assume, the engineers design it this way so that it could cope with our engine power?

Nothing much on 1st service.
Ask them to check your alignment, they did not do the alignment when out from factory I think. But nothing to loose. FOC one ma.. hehe

Check your accessories.. plastic parts... to ses if they're creating any sound
Should be nothing much.

Is like heaven and hell compared to my kenari last time. Wind sound damm noisy even b4 reach 80kmph.

The thing i not like is the smell of the air-con when u start ur car and switch on the air-con.
*
Because it is a new car. The aircond is still new. Maybe you can try put ambi pur or glades to eliminate the smell biggrin.gif

What kind of sound? Can you be more specific? How loud is loud?
As for mine I don't think have any sound when I shift the gear to R. Maybe slightly "thub" sound but very soft only.
