I’m still unlocking it with my Apple Watch so I’ve not enabled Face ID with a mask. My wife has done so on her 13 Pro Max and she said it’s mostly misses rather than hits.

the Face Mask ID works .... 0/10 times for me. That i don't even bother trying anymore.

The trick is you have to stare at your phone or rather your front camera for it to unlock. Works flawlessly for me.



Dont worry bro, if your wife's Face Id doesn't work with mask I will call my "friend" who works in Apple to sort out your wife's issue. But of course I can't reveal his/her name la.... LMAO.

Yeah, I heard lots of complaints too. I mostly just stick to unlocking with my Apple Watch, only annoyance is when using the banking apps that use Face ID then I’ll need to remove my mask briefly to access those…

Wah, got inside information… hahahah…

I think when it comes to iPhones, Apple does very little to no persuasion - those who want or need one will get one regardless of what they do or don’t do

Ios 16 Beta 2 is out, anyine tried it yet?

yes .. smoother than Beta 1 ..

Those that use banking apps I suggest you don't update first. HSBC app and AmBank app cannot load

Still contemplating and fighting the urge to go for the Beta. Haha.

But since my 13 Pro Max is my primary daily driver, I’d rather wait until a more stable Beta build is out perhaps.

The beta itself is quite stable. Just app haven’t updated to support iOS 16

I would like to know if using iOS 16 Beta now will have issue with banking app? Previously while using iOS 15 Beta, some banking apps crash.

No issue for 15.1,15.2 ... onwards .. but the first one 15.0 had issue. So i wonder 16.0 will have issue.

the public beta is out. anyone installed?

I had update ios16 on iPad/iOS/ventura/WOS9
so far so good, apps crash once, but its usable as my main device

The public beta drains battery alot for my iphone 11

cant use public bank app on ios16

can't use quite a few bank apps only yellow tiger so now reversed back to 15
