noob question here,

what kind of ram should we get to pair with the new quad core.

Is not going to be DDR3 right, it cost a bomb.

DDR3 or DDR2.
both also can run with penyrn based quad core, dual core will do also.

eh would wait and see on the overclockability of those procs

those who remember when the c2d came out
they were boasting that the x6800 on stock vcore can do 3.4-3.6ghz so easily
reality wasnt so true...

so will be on a wait and see position

hahahah... i already mentioned in some OC and hardware threads to hold up using Celeron 420 to wait for penryn... which only 1 of my fren who bought a new rig last month listened... as a reward i OC'ed his Celeron 420 from 1.6GHz to 2.8GHz(Super_PI 1M 28s)... best performance for ~RM150 proc... i myself still using my E6300 which i got last year... hmm.gif

yup,
P35,G31,G33 X38,N680i all support 45nm processor.

and one thing,i thought they user the new logo of Core 2 Extreme?why they still remain the same logo?

and bro cstkl1,remember,that might be true for very first batch, intel purposely make it highly overclockable, cause mostly first batch is for review purpose,so intel make them overclockable, then cheat us end user, after we got the second batch,it might be not as overclockable as the first bacth.

mostl processor u get the first batch is the BEST of the BEST. brows.gif

oh ya,i like teh max-orb look-a-like hsf of the extreme processor, too bad i retired liao cry.gif

I very interest with this cooler although I'm AMD supporter. Unfortunately this cooler only available at high end processor. If Intel separately sell their procesor and this cooler, i think this cooler can attract many people to buy hmm.gif
