Yeap, I went through all the popular online store, Gstore,Directd, ToT, all out of stock and no plan to restock, their listing not accurate. Some removed listing after I chat with them.

Hmmm sad to say that Motorola might have discontinued Edge 30. The one thing I liked about the phone is the very powerful stereo speakers. The bass is excellent that it will vibrate in your hand.

Motorola Edge 40 is the best option if you want something as compact as the Edge 30.

Maybe lenovo Malaysia has gave up bringing any moto devices already. Only remaining stock and after stock finish, no more

Not much demand here. Only a select group of users.

Ironically their devices are sold out everywhere. My best guess is they aren't really making that much money here due to the low demand so why bother selling. Lol

In Malaysia, moto is just counting day. They failed in Malaysia market. It's reflected in less distribution area, less service centre and absence of any new model launched locally.

Nowadays a lot of alternative with better price, spec, performance and service. Apparently from my observation, after buy over by Lenovo, Motorola is going downhill.

Their strategy basically is offer low price for a high spec but with tradeoff of slow update, no support, bugfix etc etc. It's kind of hilarious that their forum is full of complaint regardless of china or global.

For here, the only way to get it is buy for newer model is from seller who oversea import the device mainly from china. But then by doing so no 5g, hassle of claiming warranty, no support, less user and hence moto side won't event care to solve any bug faced by Malaysia user.

Anyhow I believe they are most probably gonna withdraw from Malaysia market. They are not competitive in comparison to other offering that is available in Malaysia.

I think they are not producing much unlike the main players like Samsung, Vivo etc. The phones are meant for the niche market anyway like mentioned. I certainly hope they rise up and give Samsung a run for their money since Oneplus and other brands are practically out of the race now.

That is another year left. Usually manufacturers will promise a 3 year major software update cycle and support.

They are producing..but not for Asia market.
The latest stats show they are no.3 in North America and no.2 in South America which other Chinese OEMs can't penetrate.

So they are not really a niche market but they have a weak demand here in Southeast Asia where people prefer Apple, Samsung, Oppo, Vivo or Xiaomi.

Motorola is still trying in asia, especially India (second largest market in asia) other than euro/America market which choices are more scarce compared to us


Malaysia market just way too small but also way too competitive. Google didn't even try Malaysia for any pixel model at all for instance
Update: google finally tried in 2024, nothing tech has more models. And yet motorola is 100% dead in Malaysia as of 2025

The thing about Motorola though is they are owned by Lenovo. They can sell Moto devices inside Lenovo shops. Oh well. Lol

My Edge 30 Pro is draining like crazy after 1.5 years.

Just left it for an hour when I went for a swim and battery was down 10%. See similar reports in the Lenovo forum as well.

Did u check battery usage and what specific apps is draining your battery? That is not normal.
