QUOTE(diffyhelman2 @ May 1 2022, 01:08 PM) Haiz. Before jakim fanaticized the population, no pork/lard restaurants was popular with Malays. Then they convinced them especially the b40 level that Muslims can only go to halal cert restaurants or they dosa. My client restaurant, chefs all Malay, food no pork no lard, but when found out want get Halal cert involve a lot of money, he didnt bother anymore |

There are other things besides no lard no pork that need to be observed.... Like slaughtering the animal in a proper accepted way... |

Some of my Malay colleagues actually drink red wine during company annual dinner, but most of them actually studied abroad and came back here to work. When I asked them, they said they just drink, no harm done, compared to those ppl that in front pretend holier than thou, but behind doing bad things. |

Is it difficult for halal certification? Chef Malay should be easy. Moreover no pork no Lard no alcohol. No need to slaughter chicken / cow on premise. As long as all items halal certified then for restaurants not so difficult.
