this is interesting. i feel the totally opposite.

i assume you from a more rural state,
in selangor , people drive / ride like mad racer.
definitely more people is speeding unnecessary on the road.

almost all of them cut lane with no signal, some cutting the lane last minute when other vehicle is very close to them.
so you will feel very unsafe with these driver / rider on the road , this is also the main reason i get a driving/riding video recorder.

most people show lese compassion and have less patient when on the road
and they simply do not care the other people that using the road.
this society is getting more sick by the day .

i did meet a few that drive extremely slow, but will honk depend which lane they hogging.
if at the most right lane then yes confirm honk.
no response is either they dono some one honk them , or they just pretend did not hear you honk them.

I feel generally ppl are driving real slow nowadays. And this kind of slow is actually pretty inconsiderate. Even when driving at the Federal highway, ppl are just hogging the mid and even the right lane. I can understand the jam right now caused by ppl driving too slow.

For me, I really dunno why ppl are driving so slow. It's as if they owned the roads. The slowness is even a cyclist could cycle faster then ppl driving nowadays .

Like you said. Most likely they pretend not to hear but then to me it's a mental issue. I mean if you.are hogging the road taking your own sweat time to drive, I really dunno what to say.

Of coz motorcyclist driving in the opposite direction in a 1 way road etc. Motor cyclist also just moving very slow nowadays in a jam. This is a problem because you have to anticipate which direction the motorcyclist is planning to cut or why they are just tailgating your car when there is a jam.

For me I used to think when motorcyclist move fast, it's an issue but then I would not call those ppl mentally ill as I am used to it.

But now the issue is with ppl driving too slow. Of coz it's not as dangerous but slow driving causes accidents as well and is really inconsiderate and irritating.

now you mention , i did notice some drive at 80 at highway or slower
but i think that is the supposed speed limit, not sure.

but this is ok for me since most of them at either the most left or mid lane
some time when i dont feel like going fast , i will just tailgate one of these vehicle at mid lane

i use to go fast for most of the time, due to rushing to work
but after experience go slow on the road, i notice i save more on fuel, and much more relax experience.
just need to readjust the time i start from my place, slightly earlier a bit from previous.

also try take some deep breath when you feel like annoyed by these slow cucumber, or before you start driving, this helps me a lot.

Actually driving slow uses more fuel

I dunno. I was in Singapore for a few years. This really slow type of driving is something I only experienced recently. Granted road is narrow, but like I said, even a cyclist moves faster then the cars. I seriously think it's like what you said selfishness etc.

I do not think narcissism is a mental disorder but a personality one.

workplace have this type of people.

they will act pity to get close to you, will do anything to get close to their target.

but after get to know each other, you will will notice this person seeks nothing but attention and demand respect from others.

will think nothing but for them self only , very selfish and totally lack of empathy for others.
always complain about others all the time , but think self is a perfect human being, and never have an ounce of self awareness that the cause is them self.

when some one tegur them, they will pretend they understand but after awhile will repeat the same bs again.

my advice is , if you have the unfortunate to meet one of these "special people" , avoid them like a plague.
you can try advice them , but for my case, non of my or others advice reach this person, but yet they will keep coming up with excuse and demand more attention / sympathy from others.

me and other colleagues are too kind to share our kindness but fact proven this TOTAL waste of time.
these mental people , who high chance is indeed a person with narcissistic personality disorder, need special advice from professional people , not your kindness or advice from amateur. And depend on condition , most likely need to be on meds.

my understanding is when drive/ride slow , around 80 - 90 kmh, improve fuel consumption.
this is why taxi driver drove around this speed range.
this speed proven to have better fuel consumption.

can share what do you mean by "slow uses more fuel" , just incase your definition of slow drive is a different kind of speed.

personally see way too many cases where symptoms is there for their entire life, and need to continue on meds.

while these group of people have my sympathy, i doubt mental sickness can be cure permanently. there is no cure.
attempt to heal them via spiritually is best to be use as side method, main method still is psychotherapy + meds.

again, bear in mind these are just treatment , not cure.

so best case scenario is , lesser symptoms, but need to be on meds.
or
lesser symptoms , not on meds, but from time to time will go wild again.

the slow is not 80-90 KMH

It's so slow even cyclist are faster then those cars.

And I have experienced in the federal highway.

Those cars are so slow that if you lose concentration just for a bit, you will bang them.

80-90 KHM is not considered slow for me. I think those cars drive 40-50 in the Federal Highway.

Maybe they are not really suffering from actual "mental" sickness but they have behavoir issues.

Meds will definitely not cure your behavoir issues.

You have not seen someone who has actual NPDs

Those people can just stab you from behind and you dun even know why they did that.

Actually go and youtube NPD, its much more complicated then you think.

Most common is depression.

I think you are just used to the pace in Singapore.

For example, in Singapore, the escalators move faster than the escalators in Malaysia. So when u return and use the escalator in Malaysia, u will feel that it is extremely slow.

Most if not all the people, will have some 'error' in their thinking pattern. A lot of times human is stuck at thinking what has already happened in the past, or worrying what's going to happen in the future. This creates a lot of negative emotions, such as anger, disappointment, unsatisfaction, worry, fear in their mind. Some people can 'release' this from their mind, but some are unable to and therefore, create a long term stress on their body and mind and cause mental health problem.

While medication is good at controlling the symptoms, it's much better for mental patients to pursue spiritual thinking because this is the place where they can rectify their thinking pattern.
