How would the higher installation price affect us as consumer?
*
Installation price one time charge only

QUOTE
Last Thursday (Feb 16), the MCMC issued its determination on Mandatory Standard on Access Pricing (MSAP), which saw cuts to layer three high-speed broadband network service gateway costs, but raised installation costs and retained termination unit port charges.

The new access prices come into effect on March 1 and are valid until Dec 31, 2025.

In a note on Monday (Feb 20), CGS-CIMB analysts Foong Choong Chen and Sherman Lam Hsien Jin said the MSAP cut TM‘s layer three high-speed broadband (HSBB) network 2023-25 service gateway cost by 51% to 65%.
This is exactly what gobind do in 2018 i.e. reduce the msap price

Actually it's Digi Postpaid 150 (2021) w/ 1TB contract add-on, or Digi Infinite (2021/2022). But both are much more generous towards mobile device; @tany to read properly the limitation when used for hotspot.

Maxis Mobile Broadband has FUP quota 300GB, definitely allowed hotspot.
Unifi Air is mobile broadband, no quota limit if (only) within Unifi Air's 4G coverage.

Unifi Air RM79

Besides LTE Band 40,
Unifi Air can now be used over LTE Band 5 and 38 connections as well.

To get the best connection, it is recommend to use an LTE Band 38 or 40 or both.

Taking a cue from its 2018 playbook, TM likely will offer a free speed upgrade for its subscribers to defend its average revenue per user (ARPU) and soften the tradedown impact. Therefore, based on its existing offerings (Exhibit 2), the RM89/month plan likely will be boosted to 100Mbps speed (from 30Mbps) while the RM129/month will be upgraded to 300Mbps (from 100Mbps).

It's about time they do so, now that 30mbps will become RM69 for the B40.

Does CGNAT makes google account signups consistently prompt for a phone number verification? Before when Public IP, Google Account can be signed up without a phone.

It's best if you try it yourself, buy a Unifi Prepaid simcard, then try it.

For information, Unifi Air can now be used on the LTE Band 5,38,40 network. And no longer limited to LTE Band 40 only.
