An update for my recent case it took almost 2 weeks ding dong troubleshooting to find the issue

Chronology

Using 800 Mbps

Upgrade to 2 Gbps because price is the same with the current biz 800 Mbps

Do speedtest with d-link after TM installer install only can get 1600 Mbps



Personally suspected something wrong send an email to help@tm.com.my

First Level Support come and check on site check on equipment

Nothing wrong with physical equipment

Show the tech support the speedtest on d-link apps

He said cannot do need another team to come

Second Level come and check on site , reconfigure the d-link router also the same ( suspect router got issues ) ( It's not the router issue )

He did also reconfigure on the mesh as primary also failed

He did the speedtest run speedtest from his phone and laptop still around 1600 to 1700 Mbps

Check with ipnoc for suspected capping on username , ipnoc confirm no capped on the id

He decided to go to TM exchange do from the cabinet speedtest  do the speedtest and also get the same speed

For those using 2 Gbps please make sure you got what are you paying for mostly all Huawei 1st Gen Support only support 1.5 to 1.6 Gbps speed only

It looks like the OLT Gpon Card Huawei is the the issue after third level support come with the card on the TM Exchange Keramat ( The card was a loaner ) they give it away as this is first case they had

They not changing the subscription monthly fee for most user,but they even lower the fee for specific 800mbps plan user(some user paying RM149/159 without tax per month for 800mbps currently).
So this time i think they might just upgrade all user plan speed to upper level plan,while 800mbps will just upgrade to 2gbps,
and 800mbps plan might not longer be apply anymore.(I mean when the time they announce free upgrade)

So some of the users getting 2gbps at RM149/159 monthly. What a nice plan.
Only certain MOCN towers where Unifi line is poor right?

Unifi will share Maxis 4g now. So it will be the same as Maxis postpaid except it’s prices.

Not envious towards them, rather I call them smart. I used to get RM229 for 800Mbps, 2 years back, then downgrade to 100Mbps for RM129 <before private IP>, then upgrade back to 800Mbps at current RM289. The only drawback is I subscribe to Varnam for RM30 for no reason. I don't even know where my earlier STB unit (first gen) went lol. Means, I am wasting RM30 for nothing, monthly. I will see how 2Gbps performs before hopping to maxis. I have to be in contract till Jan 2024.

By default all 100Mbps and below assigned with NAT444 (private IP) deployment, yet you are in Public IP? Did you produce proof that you installed remotely accessible services such as CCTV, brother?

As for maxis they openly admit that you pay extra RM10/month, you get Public IP regardless of any packages you sub to.

If what you telling is true, Brother, then you used up your luck on getting Public IP than getting perpetual discounts for 800Mbps which rumored soon to be 2Gbps plan. 

Most likely impossible for now, Brother. I don't think TM will be entertaining such request. They don't even bother about their customers by giving ripoff OEM ONRs and Routers for their users. During the earlier days, TM did give a very decent, not the very best, but decent RG (residential gateway) from D-Link (DIR-615). The modders utilized the router by flashing DDWRT in it. I am those one of the modders. From there, they started to go downhill for no reason. TM is the only ISP that carries multiple OEMs just for a router unlike Maxis, Digi or even Celcom.

Maxis sticks with their three suppliers with customized firmware; Kaon (Their website not even encrypted / non-HTTPS site for those who don't know), TP-Link, and Huawei.

Digi sticks with Zyxel while Celcom shift from Archer AX1500 / AX10 to Skyworth.

As for TIME? They are the best lah!  They only stick with Huawei and TP-Link thou now they only supply Huawei ONR for their users.

TIME also cracking down custom ONU, they can send Proprietary OMCI to detect RTL960x (because OMCI_FAKE_OK)

as long don't use ODI that cause issue with D-Link due tu buggy Realtek RTL960x SDK

VSOL use a lot of Realtek, this need to avoid

just... avoid using Realtek ONU, that's it

if still want pure 2Gbps, buy pre-configured that respect TM Standard
