So, are the 5 fixed IPs maintained the same address after the speed upgrade? Do they provide instructions on how to configure the ONR to bridge mode and how to configure the 5 fixed IPs?
Yes. There's no change to the 5 fixed IPs
They configure the ONU for us, we don't have to do anything. You just have to tell them you want the ONU to run as modem only, no dial up
The 5 fixed IP is already configured in the Mikrotik Cloud Router before we do the upgrade so there's no change necessary

ASUS only worth for Asus-merlin supported routers and not using any Trend Micro features.
What's wrong with the Trend Micro features built into the ASUS router firmware?

*Serious question by the way, not sarcasm

If really for low budget and normal usage, which Asus router is best?
If you're ok using WiFi 5 (AC) then RT-AC68U
If you want WiFi 6 (AX) then RT-AX56U

These are the lowest Merlin supported model

So just see budget wifi 6 router, never think firmware support so short
That's how TP-Link & D-Link do business
Sell then support for 1 year and then you're forgotten
You get what you pay for

Hence why ASUS is the better choice
Let me give you an example:

ASUS RT-AC68U was launched in 2013. And it's still getting firmware update this month
Latest firmware update was released by ASUS on 11 May 2023

Just checked the firmware list for AC68U, damn nice total ~30 updates over its lifetime, most of them covering vulnerability and CVE security updates.
Those 30 firmware updates that you see is only from 2018
There are lots more from 2013 but ASUS removed them because they are too old
QUOTE(White2000 @ Jun 1 2023, 09:26 PM)
Got any modern/new router suggestion that get frequent security updates like this AC68U?
All ASUS routers comes with long life support

RT-AX86U Pro is a good choice
But WiFi 7 should just be around the corner so you might want to hold on from purchasing anything right now

Now only wait for free 1/2gbps upgrade. tongue.gif
Try submit termination, you might get free upgrade
No promises though

I'm waiting for my 800Mb/s @ RM189 contract to expire in June 2024 to try and submit for termination to get free upgrade to 1Gb/s (contract renewed to June 2024 because I get new Sharp 60" Android TV from UniFi for an additional RM99 per month)

mass rollout free upgrade announcement.
Highly doubt they will be doing mass rollout
Same as SWU, they only offered it to those people who submit termination request

I will need to top-up additional 9.90 and get the TV Box ?
If your TV is already an Android TV or you're already using an Android TV box such as the Xiaomi Mi Box, you don't need the UniFi TV box
Just install UniFi TV app in your Android TV will do

Guys. Out of topic a bit. I collected key for my new house recently but unfortunately i cant apply for unifi due to TM unifi is not available and demand is not up to expectation yet.

However developer informed that infra is all done and everything is pending tm now. Is there any channel that we can make complaint so that tm can deploy service faster?

Thank you if anyone can help.
Landed or high rise?
If high rise, get TIME to deploy at your place

If landed, don't even dream of getting TIME at your place laugh.gif

are there any promotion for 800mbps users? I have only seen promotions for 500mbps temporary upgrade to 800mbps. I do not want speed upgrade i jist want cheaper price:(
How much are you paying now?
March this year my brother tried to argue for a discount for his 800Mb/s @ RM189. TM said no promotion
So he submitted a termination request. Within 2 days TM called him to counter offer and he's now paying RM169 for 800Mb/s

You can try the same trick but your experience may differ
