hi guys

i'm in the process of getting my B2 license

i've never rode a bike before. The driving instructors at my place, well...not too helpful. After the almali class, he told me to stand there and watch and didn't bother to teach

i went there again today after i got my L, he just told me to circle around some cones. Being a first timer, kinda nervous, but eventually after circling for 10-2o mins pretty much got hold of the handling of the bike, but not 100% steady lah.

attempted the pusingan 8,not really a big problem after a few rounds.
The titi part rclxub.gif ,atttempted 5-6 times but managed to cross it once without falling off halfway..i think less than 7 secs... sad.gif

the rest emergency brake, jalan raya haven't attempt yet,not too confident in my riding skills.

my biggest dilemma now is whether it is possible to obtain my P license by the end of january? since i'm going overseas in feb.
based on what i wrote above,u guys think any chances of passing the exam be4 feb?
enough time to learn and improve everything?
dun have kapchais at home to practice, but going there 3-4 times a week not a problem for me.

thx

try this, slightly depress the rear brake while throttling the gas as you navigate the bike around the '8' and titi...

the best way is actually, ride the motor more often. go everyday if u can (coz u dont have any at home) or borrow a friend motor.

No matter what others say about how to ride it, still the best way is to gather more mileage on a bike. Thats how everyone learn.

You are not that bad actually, when I`m taking my P, there is this dude, who dont even know how to ride a bicycle, he sat on the bike, rev the engine, kick the gear, and wham! he`s hospitalized for it doh.gif

Just be confident. Try to ride the bike slowly, control it with your own body weight. The braking is easy, I done it the first time with a bfull bike. use the rear more then the front, and control the bike with your body. And remember the bike will go wherever you are looking/thinking. If you are thinking about hitting the JPJ officer then drool.gif

Good luck

thx! biggrin.gif

i'm planning to go every week day, since i'm pretty free these coming 2 weeks.

just that the driving instructors there are not really helpful, you ask them something they are like tak nak peduli like tht, just simply answer.

i was crushed the first day when he is not willing to sign my P lesen papers citing that i'm very bad. sad.gif

most of my friends used to have bikes, but not anymore.

my uncle has one sitting idle in his hse ,but he removed and sold some of the spare parts(not sure what, gonna ask him later).
i was planning to get it re fitted again, is it worth it at all? hopefully cheaper than getting a 2nd hand.

Taking motor license is like that one. They assume most people already know how to ride motor and going there just to take the legal license only. In fact most has been riding the bike for years before going there and some even take the opportinity to show off how good they are at doing the 8 and balancing their bike with ultra slow speed on the bridge part.I saw some can even go slower than the instructor there (15-18seconds!) When i was taking my license last time, i totally didn't know how to ride a motorcycle and the instructor also ask me to watch only. After the first lesson, i bought my own bike and asked my brother to help me ride the bike home from the motor shop. So embarassing cause got money to buy bike but don't know how to ride. Then i try riding around my neighbourhood and in less than 1 week , I can take the bike from my home to the hulu langat driving school cause the instructor didn't bother to send me there anymore after the first lesson. Like what other forummer has said , try to ride it more often and you will learn it very quickly. Remember not to go main road if you are still not very good cause is really dangerous and during rainy days(especially now) don't ride more than 50-60km cause motor is different from car when comes to braking. I almost accident a few times when iwas still inexperienced last time. Good luck bro.

Yeah, riding bike is a joy..I am upgrading my license from B2 to B full now. Planning to get a bigger bike..

Anyway, good luck bro.. I think it should be an easy task after 3-4 practises. I got my P 9 years ago and I did not even dare to ride on the motorcycle. Amazing how I can pass.. heheh
