no PIDM protected, are you not worried
*
Nope. I have been using mmf since like 7 years. I couldn't care less about PIDM anymore.

It is a wise move to put 50k in KDI Invest Agressive Mode now? My UT in bank are doing well now and almost double up. So can I see it as a good signal?
*
No it's not. Take the money and buy ETF yourself. Don't give free money to middle man.

And people saying it's hard to buy ETF is giving excuse when everything is all online.

For decade long investment, won't something with less risk is more sensible? Such as epf, kdi save, and property.
*
Noooo. Stocks outperform everything in the long run. Provided you pick the right one.

Of course if you cannot stand steep market sell off like the one we just had, then put your money into EPF lo.

Long term you will lose purchasing power to inflation and depreciation of ringgit (despite ringgit appreciate recently). But you will be able sleep better and have peace of mind.

Don't follow me. At the end it's your money and your life. What I want and my stomach is different from yours.

For this kind of time frame, what is your expected roi?
*
min 10%p.a You want to outperform EPF.
EPF is your benchmark
Add in 2-3%p.a extra for currency depreciation of the ringgit.

Don't follow me. Remember my risk tolerance maybe higher than yours. So what works for me or what I want may not be suitable for you. I can still sleep if my stocks drop my 30-50%. Can you tahan that?

It's not limited to KDI. You need to decide it somewhere down the road how you are going to approach your future. Do you want to invest or just put it into EPF. What is your risk appetite. If your risk is small put more into EPF.

Do you guys really adjust your "financial tasks" to such an extent, say I want to deposit 10k but I know no interest over the weekends, so I put the 10k.... Elsewhere(where???) so that I can deposit the coming Monday?

Personally I dislike shifting my schedule when I have the "mood" to do specific things lol, so I am puzzled to read so many forumers trying to min max this. (Admittedly, the one thing I would shift my schedule for is when I need to transfer money overseas to secure better rates)
*
I try my best to avoid not getting interest. But if so happen no interest it's ok. Totally ok with it.

Can use Gxbank and park there temporarily first.

Quickly glance through this thread after been diverted from FD thread, then read in detail in Kenanga Save webpage.. so this is purely investment products right since it it's not covered by PIDM.  Even though guaranteed 4.0PA for first 50k (with *TnC apply ya).... Then I read through PDS, 1 of the point..
All investments come with risks and KDI Save is subject to investment risks, including the possible loss of the principal amount invested.  For example, given that the underlying investments for KDI Save include money market and fixed income instruments, there are credit/default risks and interest rate risks.
So, my question is, is this KDI poses risk?
*
KDI is a money market fund (MMF). So yes that is the risk of MMF. So far have they drop below their rate, I never count but if you see people in this forum do calculations, not really.
