i think i've got a problem with my ps3....i was playing half way...then it blank out...the screen turned black...so...i pressed the power button till it shuts down..but when i turn it back on, there's the green light...but the screen is still blank...am i in trouble?

Try hold the power button till you hear "bi" sound when turn back on.

yeah..tried that...even after the 2nd beep...still nothing...shiet....is my HD dead?

What game do you play while this problem occurs? Bcoz Warhawk had done this twice to my PS3 (Hang while in blank screen, and have to hard reset it).
BTW, PS3 can run without HDD.

Um... no, kinda regret to choose Apocalypto, I cant change the order now... however, my friend told me the visual quality for this title (apocalypto BR) is superb. So just wanna see how good it is. I'll get POTC 1 to together with POTC 3 next time... if the buy 1 get 1 free deal is still on though and I don't even own a PS3 yet... the buy 1 get 1 free deal is too hard to pass up at the moment so I dont care anyway. Anyway, will buy my PS3 next month or in December when the 40GB comes out.

hmm...warhawk also caused the same thing few days ago. then a message saying corrupted files, so it had to restore (by itself). Just now, i was playing Lair, it happened again. sigh...really no idea what's wrong. Havent tried running without HDD though. Wanted to replace with my ext hdd, but not the same. What type of hdd ps3 is using?

2.5 inch SATA hard drives (aka notebook hard drives).

Make sure you get a good screw driver to fit snugly to the screws because they're tight. EXTREMELY tight. I stripped 2 screws during the unscrewing process (Meaning the philips shape on the surface of the screw (+) has now become a circle instead due to the screw driver) .. Dang it.

each disc comes to only rm 63 much cheaper than speedy
