The captain is okay, no complaint for this game. Good defensive shape. We are in control without really threatening.
Rice was immense, he'll turn us to proper team. I'm not hoping for him to come in, but proper CDM will turn that team into solid Top 4 team. |

Let's talk about progress. Yes, RR has come under fire from certain quarters especially after matches we did not win. He has since played 10 matches with the same team Ole had. - In 10 games, he has 6 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss. Strength of the opposition may be a talking point but you can only play who you have in front of you. The results are a positive in us trying to get Top 4. - He is shaking up the dressing room. Underperformers can now be benched regardless of nationality instead of being guaranteed starters. In this, we have seen some players step up when given chances. Dalot for example. - He is showing big name management. CR7 could have been a drama in itself but he handled it well and reminded Ronaldo everything was done for the team. Slowly, we are showing progress. A lot will depend if we get midfield reinforcements in Jan. We may also bleed some players who I like that were not given a proper chance (VDB), but at this point I just want the club to be set on the right track for the remainder of this season. We will re-evaluate in the summer on how RR does. This post has been edited by statikinetic: Jan 24 2022, 12:23 PM yhtan liked this post

The team should start to buy in to RR method by now. Maguire should have felt the heat and will have to up his game. See whether he can sustain that concentration. Midfield should be settle on a reverse triangle of McTom as DM. Bruno is slowly getting back to his best by playing as 8 and hopefully Pogba could replace Fred as another 8 and be creative force we need. Next will be to see how to solve scoring problem.
It is highly unlikely we will buying anyone in Jan. To sum up, RR is trying to inject confident into players that is out of form. We will have to see how he going to do the same for Sancho. If he can regain the confidents from the players, we will have a team to challenge. |

There is that tactical change after the team did not adapt to the 4-2-2-2 system. Most likely the team is more used to a 4-3-3 in comparison. At least the manager is willing to change if things aren't working. In the fight for Top 4 so I guess things have improved. I won't put it all on RR's doorstep if we fail to get Top 4. If we fail to get Top 4, I put the main factor on the United Board on being slow to respond to the League sequence of fixtures below. 0-1 loss to Villa 1-1 draw with Everton 2-4 loss to Leicester 0-5 loss to Liverpool 3-0 win against Spurs in El Sackiko. But that meant United stuck with their manager while SPurs made immediate changes. 0-2 loss to Man City. 1-4 loss to Watford. yhtan liked this post

When RR first arrived, he quite firm on his 4222 and his hard press philosophy but as more games played, he no longer stick with 4222 knowing his players can’t adapt the high press and since then he hardly talking about high press after changed it to 433. Most likely the team is more used to a 4-3-3 in comparison. At least the manager is willing to change if things aren't working. In the fight for Top 4 so I guess things have improved. He is learning fast as manager for EPL team cuz he knows one minute late on making decision will cause the team result (Villa 2-2 draw and he quickly sub off Ronaldo next game when we were 2-0 up against Burnley) Hopefully the team can build on the momentum with this result and keep on improving because the real test will be on March where we will be playing; 5 Mar - Man City (A) 12 Mar - Spurs (H) 16 Mar - AM (H) UCL 19 Mar - Liv (A) |

QUOTE Sevilla have reached an agreement to sign Anthony Martial on loan from Manchester United. The 26-year-old will join the La Liga side - who will pay his wages in full - until the end of the season. |

watch again the goal ..the ronaldo effect, he is like a magnet pulling the defender from that pocket and let cavani unmarked ..
![]() ![]() if u noticed in most games when we chasing a goal, he will just go inside that pocket to pull the defender towards him and free others ..he make the effort to hold the ball, make runs, etc even without scoring ..players like him who can shot both feet, run and jump for headers really a threat to defender to me, RR need to learn that u cannot sub ronaldo, no matter what his experience is very important ..without him, opposition can man marked anyone without worry This post has been edited by orga_laut: Jan 25 2022, 01:02 PM |
