Hi,
SSD like Adata, Kingston, Crucial... Would you recommend? If ok, safe some tokens from big brands like Samsung, SanDisk, WD, Seagate...
*
You should state what you want the SSD to do. Ie, what is the purpose.

Just like getting a processor. If all you want to do is browse 1080p youtube videos, getting a 12900K makes no sense right?

If all you want is a OS drive to boot up faster, any affordable common brand is good enough. Just backup your OS drive frequently.
For example, I am a cheapo and am using a PNY CS900 240GB SSD as my OS drive for past 2 years. no problem.

Crucial MX500 is the gold standard for affordable-reliability.

Kingston is inconsistent, and their more expensive model isn't any better than MX500.

For Adata, well...I only experienced 3 instances of RAM failure in my entire life and they were all Adata.

Crucial, Kingston, SanDisk, Seagate were leading Brand in Storage/RAM since donkey year ago. Most of them gave 5 years Warranty and performance just abt the same...
fyi, Crucial Kingston hardcore RAM

Samsung more like late comer with lot of flashy Advertisement

Personally, i would avoid ADATA, Sandisk, Maybe WD, Seagate too, unless they have premium product to test one
WD, Seagate too mainstream

I give a go for Crucial, Kingston anytime...

Is it better to get 500gb dram ssd or top up a bit for 1tb dramless ssd? Usually I see them almost same price, only rm59 difference.

If u need high speed sustained write (e.g. video editing) u'll need an ssd with DRAM. Else multitasking no DRAM also ok.

For the price, i'd get the 1tb as space>sustained write for me

LOL, Crucial (micron) is among the only few manufacturers with facilities and capabilities to manufacture their own NAND chips just like Intel and Samsung did...

In short, YES, they're good to go.

Friends will not let other friends buy dramless SSD.

Nuff said

So most budget friendly is Crucial MX

And please don't buy from China el cheapo brand even if branded, price seems too good to be true.

It all depends on which model.

Don't be fool by brands.

Whatever you do, don't buy Sandisk SSD Plus. Sampah slow fark drive.

Wow... Guys, really appreciate your feedbacks and super informative to me! Now I only know the SSD does include the DRAM! 😂 No wonder some are cheap and some higher price!

So. If for Video Editing, Recording, a lot of Read & Write in real time, it's best to get a DRAM SSD , right?
If, only for Storage purpose, DRAM-less SSD will do, correct?
How about for OS ?

As everyone mentioned above, Crucial MX seems the best choice in overall?
