You should state what you want the SSD to do. Ie, what is the purpose.

Just like getting a processor. If all you want to do is browse 1080p youtube videos, getting a 12900K makes no sense right?

If all you want is a OS drive to boot up faster, any affordable common brand is good enough. Just backup your OS drive frequently.
For example, I am a cheapo and am using a PNY CS900 240GB SSD as my OS drive for past 2 years. no problem.
