Mine approaching 9 also. Acer Aspire is a surprisingly resiliant model. Thinking of getting a few for the office mid year when prices stabilize.

The only major problem i have dealing with laptops is this.



My friend have a 3 months old DELL with this problem. I have seen 2 different models of Lenovo Yoga 5 years old with the same problem. And yes both has touch screen and the hinges detach because of this design.

The old Acers from year 200x also has this problem.
