The only workaround for me now is web whatsapp. Haih

I had the same issue this morning. Solved the issue by uninstalling & re-installing Whatsapp.
So far, it is stable.

Mine was smooth.. no issue so far, except for WhatsApp (crashed & can't launch the app. Solution to this is to uninstall & reinstall WhatsApp).

backup to icloud first then you can restore

now cannot launch the app, which cannot do the backup also.
if one has turned on the auto backup it will be backup according to the frequency set for example daily.
but it depends what time the whatsapp did the last backup rite? for example, if the backup was done yesterday afternoon 4pm. whatever messages from 4pm to now is not backup.

if u delete the app and reinstall app, even the backup is restored, there will still be messages lost?

updated 10:06am - whatsapp can be launched properly now. i supposed whatsapp has fixed it.

luckily it has been resolved. i was worrying about my messanges lost also earlier.

mine is set to auto backup daily. found out that my last backup was at 12:14am. not too bad.

One restart solve the whatsapp crash problem.

Not happened on mine. Already restart 2-3 times, still whatsapp crash

Early morning wake up tried open whatsapp keep crashing and got panic attack because it wont launch more than 2 sec and crashed.
Did a soft reboot and everything return to normal then faster press backup chat lol.

If restart won’t help then probably need a reset..happened on my 12 PM and a reset/restore fixed it

Yes. Indeed its digi fibre router issue. Zyxel.

Other digi fibre user reported the same problem.

For workaround, you can enable the guest wifi network and connect to it. You should able to update.
