Watched only the 2nd half. Very poor with no control in midfield. I guess that was expected when you have Ox and Elliott and then Morton playing.
Gomez turned his back on that shot leading to the goal. Not sure if VVD would've done the same. Konate looks composed and played well.
Elliott played like everything was 180km/h, still has a lot of learning to do.
Minamino did well with the spaces he had. I guess Klopp played our second string with the aim of only progressing, and that's what we got. Good thing for Jota to get some minutes while Salah Mane Diaz VVD Matip Trent Robbo Fab all had rests.

Poor game by our forwards. Was thinking does Klopp have the balls to take off Salah, and I'm glad he did.
Some great blocks and intervention in defence prevented WH from getting a draw.
Good grinding win, 3 points is all that matters.

Let's focus on our own fate. If we win all our remaining matches (including Etihad) we have a good chance.
I always hope MC drop points, I don't care against Utd, Burnley or Norwich. We do our job first, then we can capitalise when MC slip up.
It's the final straight now, if we come up short, it will not be because Utd "rather lose than help us".

Utd might be in a bad patch for a few years now, but they are only a good manager away from coming back, and we are one manager away from potentially repeating our 30 years drought.

This sounds too good to be true. Benfica and we are at home for 2nd leg.
Bayern and we are away for 2nd leg. Remember we drew them at Anfield and smashed them 3-1 in Munich the last time we met.

I suspect TAA is having a slight knock but not worth risking him for Forest and England. Same for Salah, it is a good time for him to have a rest with Bobby Jota and Mane/Diaz or even Origi/Taki fit.

Rightback is our most vulnerable position now as we have adequate cover in other positions (Kelleher, Konate/Gomez, Tsimikas, Keita/Ox/Millie/Jones/Elliott, Taki/Origi/Bobby).

If we can win only 1 or 2 out of the remaining 3 competitions, I'll gladly sacrifice the FA Cup.

I will take the PL anytime. Semi final in CL is good enough for me. FA Cup... City can have it

Pressure will not be on us, onus will be on us.
City are under pressure too because they have only 1 point advantage. We have nothing to lose, they have all to lose.
Besides, City is not set up to defend, and changing style for 1 particular match will be very risky for them. They might play possession and patient build up, but certainly not deep and defensive.
All in all gonna be a really intense game. Hope we nick it at the end.

Played off the park. Salah was dreadful. Trent stopped tracking Jesus for God knows why. Few times forward could have moved directly but chose stupid passes. Even VVD is feeling the nerves.

Good news? We're only 1 down instead of 3.
Diaz need to come on at halftime. Take out Salah please.
