Courier service offers insurance but up to a certain limit. It’s not a full payout unless you inform them that the shipment is high value beforehand. Then it’s up to their prerogative whether to take the shipment at a higher price or decline it. Their normal service only pay out up to a certain amount.

The theft usually happens locally before it gets overseas. No need to get worked up over this. It’s your watch and your money. Just be aware of the pitfalls when you send your watch in for its first service.

Erm, I already done that?

Which is why I can say there was no issues with it.

I'm more worried about being robbed walking down the street with a Rollie than losing it to a courier.

Why you sus me? Is it because I diss your Nomos? Lol.

Nomos is not a junk brand but it having no authorised agent or service center here makes it undesirable for a lot of people. No hard feelings okay.

Ok. Why are you worried about being robbed on the streets? That’s a visible crime. Nobody is stupid enough to rob you in broad daylight in this age of handphones.

Stealing parcels however is much easier and have been done before.

Randomly pasting links of people getting robbed isn't that hard either.

Just the right person I'm looking for

If I have 50k to buy a watch to keep it for value and sell when shit hit the fan, what should I get? Any idea except Rolex?

At that price point I won’t even bother looking elsewhere other than a Rolex.

1:20am. Who in their right mind would wear a Rolex out at 1:20am? Like I said broad daylight mugging crimes are almost non-existent. Just use common sense and only wear Rolexes to public places and in broad daylight.

It’s easier to steal a package if you work there than to rob someone unless you do it late at night on a deserted street.

Anyhow, like I said. It’s your watch. You can do whatever you want with it. I must have hit a raw nerve when I diss your Nomos.

But don’t get work up over it. It’s just an object.

And who in their right mind would want to steal a watch that can't be serviced? Easier to just Rob Rolex and sell that. Steal Nomos have to send to Germany via post then get stolen again like bodo.

Don't get upset la because I sus you as nasigorengman. You are much cooler than that dude. At least you don't simp AP like there's no tomorrow.

Nomos is a good watch. But the lack of a point of service locally makes it not really desirable compared to other mid tier watches like Tudor or Tag Heuer.

It’s like owning a mid tier car like an Oldsmobile or Opal in Malaysia. How are you going to get it serviced? Courier it to the USA every service interval?

Steal it and turn it into a RM15 loot box. Why not? Easy money.

Courier theft don’t give a shit about the value of the loot box parcels. They just steal them by the dozen and sell them at RM15 each.

Up to you man depends on your taste. Datejust non-gold or submariner are good.

Daytona too expensive.

Btw good luck getting a Rolex these days from AD. If you do manage to get one you immediately made 30-50% gains on it the moment you walk out the shop.

Ok la nasigorengman...

At the end, your argument hinges on the off chance the watch goes missing when you ship it overseas. Which no one that has sent a Nomos watch has experience before but okay.

But it's safe when the watch dealers do it. Because somehow their insurance is more valid than the ones we can buy?

And we agree AP owners are dumb for not insisting the dealer's dont personally sent it Switzerland.

And all mail couriers are thieves according to you so we should never ever use courier service. Ever. COD best.

Oh wait... https://www.astroawani.com/berita-malaysia/...am-rolex-328644

Like I said don’t butthurt. It’s just an object at the end of the day. We shouldn’t get too attached to things. No point getting worked up over something as trivial as this.

You gotta learn to keep your cool. I am not verbally attacking your family. It’s just some random watch brand.
