True that its easy for scammers to open new accounts.. Still I don't get how  these fake units have valid warranty at first, then a week later say warranty not recognised??
*
These is only my opinion and what I think happens….
Valid warranty :
- The factory purchased one unit of the original Apple AirPods Pro
- the factory uses the original serial number from the Apple AirPods Pro on the fake AirPods pro and produce 1000 units
- the factory passed to seller to sell those fake AirPods pro on 1/1/2022
- seller manage to sell 1st unit on 7/1/2022
- 1st buyer received on 10/1/2022 and activated the warranty on 10/1/2022
- seller continue to sell the remaining units
- another buyer buy on 01/02/2022, this buyer receive the item on 03/02/2021, open the item and check warranty actually starts on 10/1/2021

Warranty not recognised :
01/04/2022, block serial number of that AAP because Apple have detected same serial number AAP being attached to so many iPhones or MacBook or iPad and that might have trigger the red flag and Apple system immediately stop the particular AAP serial number warranty.
The actual real unit might also being red flag as it might be at the factory that produce these fake AAP.

Above is only my opinion.

Please be careful buying from unauthorized sellers. If it's too good to be true then it's fake. Either buy direct from Apple or the authorized resellers.

Video below is the main reason why.

Should make a police report and send your report to lazada…this is daylight scam, cannot be tolerated at all..worse is more and more people are going for the scam without knowledge if they are not tech savvy enough…

Just want to update a bit:

I just call Lazada and according to the CS they're still investigating my report which usually take 3-5 working days so I should expect an update by next Monday.

I also call Maybank (I paid for the airpods using Maybank Visa Credit Card) and according to CS, Maybank cannot reverse the transaction for local merchant instead they advise me to resolve the issue with Lazada; report to police and tribunal tuntutan pengguna if Lazada do not cooperate.

Yes bank just pay as instructed by you, they will never reverse anything (they can’t), only party here that can help you is lazada (they should) since the scammer uses their platform to scam, and you have every evidence of the scam and proof of purchase..

I suggest wait for them to revert back and see what’s their reply, then only decide to go with the police report as your last resort

I thought paying with credit card give an advantage like paying using PayPal.
If PayPal, most of the time customer can do a chargeback through them instead of having to go through the platform.

I think PayPal now requires verification and proof from the platform before they reverse any funds, imagine if they don’t then seller/merchant will be at risk…PayPal used to be more lenient with these but that was 10+ years ago IIRC…

it’s easy to create new account for new scams, lazada really shouldn’t allow these, what’s the point closing their account if they keep opening new ones mad.gif

They could if they want, I mean you can’t stop them entirely but at least reduce as much…like detect ip to further clamp down these syndicates etc dry.gif

they make online purchase so uncomfortable now that we need to think extra hard before checking out the order..especially big purchases..
