The store already MIA, both store & item page will result in page not found; that's why I contacted lazada to help with the case. Well, I learnt my lesson not to buy expensive stuff from unknown seller eventhough the store got good reviews, seems like it can be faked. My device (APP) is working fine though. It's just that I'm having some trouble getting it updated to the latest firmware which I believe is a common problem.
At least when you unbox it and check the warranty it does show until August 2022, but suddenly changed to not covered warranty.. could be system error or something...dont panic yet at least you have seen the August 2022.. but the store Mia is something to be cautious about.. check with lazada first, simultaneously check with Apple CS via Live chat.. they can help you with serial number to verify the device further..
same price and almost identical name to the seller who sold me my fake airpods
It was written genuine and original in his ad, but under specification, it was written as 'no brand' though..not sure how lazada will deal with these..
Not easy for Lazada to filter the fakes one as there are too many accounts and products….
good tactic for the conman/seller to bait price conscious buyer….
- buyer received item and check have warranty on Apple website - buyer satisfied - one week later, lazada release payment to seller - by the time the first buyer realise it’s a fake product months later, the seller does not mind lazada closing their account as the conman can just easily register another new account again..
True that its easy for scammers to open new accounts.. Still I don't get how these fake units have valid warranty at first, then a week later say warranty not recognised??
Please be careful buying from unauthorized sellers. If it's too good to be true then it's fake. Either buy direct from Apple or the authorized resellers.
Video below is the main reason why.
worse when the deal is not even too good, just 99 bucks below lazada ITworld which sells at 799
they haven't respond back to my email in the previous mail, they mention "passed its return policy" should i trigger chargeback from my credit card?
Should make a police report and send your report to lazada…this is daylight scam, cannot be tolerated at all..worse is more and more people are going for the scam without knowledge if they are not tech savvy enough…

I just call Lazada and according to the CS they're still investigating my report which usually take 3-5 working days so I should expect an update by next Monday.
I also call Maybank (I paid for the airpods using Maybank Visa Credit Card) and according to CS, Maybank cannot reverse the transaction for local merchant instead they advise me to resolve the issue with Lazada; report to police and tribunal tuntutan pengguna if Lazada do not cooperate.
Yes bank just pay as instructed by you, they will never reverse anything (they can’t), only party here that can help you is lazada (they should) since the scammer uses their platform to scam, and you have every evidence of the scam and proof of purchase..
I suggest wait for them to revert back and see what’s their reply, then only decide to go with the police report as your last resort
I thought paying with credit card give an advantage like paying using PayPal. If PayPal, most of the time customer can do a chargeback through them instead of having to go through the platform.
I think PayPal now requires verification and proof from the platform before they reverse any funds, imagine if they don’t then seller/merchant will be at risk…PayPal used to be more lenient with these but that was 10+ years ago IIRC…
Wow….lazada do take action and removed all the products after I submit complaint but beware new one should be popping up soon…
it’s easy to create new account for new scams, lazada really shouldn’t allow these, what’s the point closing their account if they keep opening new ones
congrats you're right i have to play with them with caution as i might accidentally swap the real pods with the fake ones as they really look the same unlike the ones i saw in youtube videos where there are noticeable difference haven't try switching their place yet
They both look so similar besides the case imprint.. any update from Lazada if they will refund you?
so far i think they're not going to refund me; they told me to contact the seller even when i already told them seller is not responding. I've already submitted a report to kpdnhep, currently under investigation not sure what can they do to help
Lol @ lazada..I hope they get fined for this, merchant selling counterfeit products openly in their platform and they just brush it off
Update: I haven't got my money back yet but lazada has agreed to issue refund after I reported them to KPDNHEP, lazada informed me to send back the fake airpods to the seller, i gave them prove that i've return the item and they emailed me that my refund will be processed upto 15 working days.
haha nice one bro..quite funny though send back to the seller..guess its part of the returning/refunding process..
you should also post it on the review so everyone else is aware of the process..
I bought AAP because of its conversation boost but I haven't yet study on how to properly use it yet.
I have mild hearing loss and several youtube videos suggested that I use AAP instead of hearing aids as AAP is much more comfortable and better but the downside is its battery drain faster.
Yea i heard of the battery and constant charging issue…im waiting eagerly for next gen AAP hopefully they will improve the ergonomics and battery life
corad as you can see here, they look very similar. In my case, if you don't have the original side by side, you won't be able to tell it's fake. Also, without the charging case, I won't be able to tell which piece is the fake one; I was very careful when I put them side by side as I scared I accidentally switch the piece
How about the material/build of the fake pods? Are they similar to the real one as well?
