This movie only great if there’s a continuation of the story.

Otherwise its just a really pretty CGI tech demo trailer.

Most probably it will get filmed but not sure about the budget as it will depends of box office.

The problem with WB is they are scared about investing in such big budget multiple movies after the failure of Synder DCEU.

If they filmed both parts back to back, it will cost less like how Peter Jackson filmed LOTR.

Now they will probably start filming next year at the earliest and by the time part 2 comes out, it will probably be 3 to 4 years later.

Very stupid move by WB again as by then a lot of people might forgot about this movie.

If they filmed the 2 parts back to back, we should see Dune 2 next year.

if we watch it in cinema, there is a good chance of part 2.

imax is perfect fot this masterpiece.

Hahaha, but the studio has not greenlighted the second part yet. I sure as hell hope that we get to see the sequel

WB executives can be extremely stupid at times.

I hope they give Villeneuve the same creative freedom that gave Nolan with. Hopefully they confirm part 2 soon.

Maybe they only give free reign to proven directors like Nolan? Snyder can be hit and miss.

no expectation. but when i watched im impressed. its good that they didnt cramp everything into 1 movie. if not its gonna be another cliche hero lose hero win movie. wanna read the novels now.

Part 1 is very much an intro to the world of Dune. A lot of wide angle shots, slow walks, flashbacks etc. The director is taking his time with part 1, introducing all the involved factions, tech, politics etc.

all the damn indication of "there will be part 2" is all over the whole damn movie.

if there's none, this is just a CGI showcase open ended mobie & damn anti-climax

You cannot cramp the whole book into one single movie. There is a reason why it was considered "unflimable" last time.

I'm sure, Dune Part 2 will be a Sleep Fest, more drama and politics than GOT
