Now after one week, the battery on my 6a seems has settled down. No more suddenly become warm. Got better battery life too from 4 hours use 50%, now can get 5 hours 50% battery.

But when I step out of my house, on data the phone still get pretty warm for no apparent reason. Full bar signal outdoors. Funny thing is, tried at home, indoor with half bar signal the phone didn't get warm. So probably has something to do with location/tracking on the phone?

Digi no 5g yet. But yes, I already change to prefer 4G only.

Today i tried turning off wifi and bluetooth scanning. Phone no longer become warm.

Sometimes only. Not sure what triggering it. Battery usage in settings does not help much. I only have fb and whatsapp running in background.

Today, at lunch I snap one picture of a cat and launch shopee app to check my order progress, phone became hot. Try to replicate the same on wifi, phone does not even feel warm to touch. 🤔

Anyone else uses their phone naked? No casing and no tempered glass?

The 6a feels too chunky and too heavy to use with a case. Now after 1 week so far I have dropped the phone twice from knee height to carpet surface

I got a record of using a xiaomi phone for 5 years no casing. Nothing catastrophic happened. With 6a im confident can do the same because of the plastic back. 🤔

None so far. Although I notice about 10% battery drain more than usual, probably because the update took 2 hours to finish.

backup set only on wifi. i was on data. can confirm nothing gets uploaded when the phone decided to act up.

After 1 week+ using the 6a, battery life become even better. 2 hours GPS navigation in the background, 4 hours screen on time using social media, still have 50% battery. The adaptive battery is doing something right.

Now I wonder if tech reviewers only use this phone for few days before making a conclusion for the battery life.

Not that loud really. And it doesn't make the usual camera shutter sound, it's more like a dull click.

Go for it, for the discount price really worth it. I think now can get like RM1450 ? For that price closest phone you can get Edge 30 or A53.

In call history there should be HD sign beside the contact name.

Or you can try turn off wifi, and make a call. LTE sign should stay. Without volte it will drop to E.

Ah I was hoping 5g would work. Seems like this 5G this is a complicates affair.

Look at the back of the box, only have japanese text. Box does not come with official looking anti tamper sticker - if there is a sticker, probably the seller put it. And if you key in the IMEI on google repair site, it will say they cannot repair the phone for you.

1. Update to latest stable December build from beta (should be like 3mb update)
2. Opt out from beta
3. No data loss

Data will be wiped out if you in beta program but have not installed latest stable build on your device.

Latest google play update is 1 November.

From what I read online, this seems to be a common thing on pixel after major OS upgrade trom previous android version.
