Too expensive, dont wanna be surprise by any skeleton in the closet and i feel local growth is almost saturated and international expansion is a big what if.

If you buy into this ipo your best bet would be due to its brand name in consumer mind. But even then senheng also had a strong brand share but that dint go so well.

In terms of pure play dairy producers i would rank farm fresh pretty similar to fonterra instead of nestle, and their P/E should be similar. Dutch lady is expensive and declining.

Off for me.

Just too expensive at PE 70 although it is backed by Khazanah.

Nestle also cheaper than this, not to mention F&N & Dlady. Dividend policy of 25% is also no way near the 3 taikos.

Wish all applicants here good luck.

at RM 1.35, the PE ratio is 71.1 times. the EPS only 1.9 cents. (as per the prospectus)

dont u all think it is too expensive ? it is much expensive than any technology stock !

That's what they said with QL resources.

For me the potential for Farm Fresh lies in their global expansion. Local market is oversaturated and farm fresh do not have the same diversity of product like DLady. However DLady market is confined to then region where farm fresh could potentially reach the middle east market which will be lucrative.

It's a bit of a gamble but I'll be sinking Abit into this ipo for long term holding. I think on the long run farm fresh can find it's bearings and be a good company to invest into.

I will try my luck with FF for a few reasons

1) at current milk prices in Malaysia, still got good margin for growth
2) still not enough milk supply in Malaysia
3) the non dairy segment is yet to be fully explored
4) being in food related business i.e. consumer based demand will always be there (compared to Seng Heng, we can live without electric goods but not food)
5) food security reasons
6) ESG/SDG driven business, this is key for doing business in times to come
7) foreign venture - Indo & Philippines are huge markets but need to thread carefully, challenges are great and many but i trust the management know their stuff
8) not at level of Nestle as yet but got potential to be the Nestle of Malaysia/SEA/Asia in due course
9) a local champion which could be a regional player - lets support Malaysia companies
10) valuation is rich, but i am in for the long term, 25% dividend is not too bad...for a start, hope it can be higher in years to come...like United Plantations

just my 2 cents worth of ramblings...this is not an investment advice, please do your own research and do seek professional advice accordingly. smile.gif

May have chance to grab with lower price than IPO

Agreed. kind of too expensive with PE 70. Adjusted PE of 36 is still too expensive compared to the peer.

Risk is high.

Creador? ready to mop up the secondary market FF shares upon IPO?

My answer is no way, they are one of the largest local PE firm in the country, if they want to be in the IPO, they will be a pre-IPO investor already.

coming back to this IPO, heck, 70 times PE? fuhhhh, didnt know FMCG can command that kind of valuation.

Meanwhile, anyone looked at their utilisation of proceeds section already?
