Hahaha, no la, I seldom ever drop my phones.. the Mate 30 Pro lagi manja coz of lockdowns - hardly stepped out of the house during that time hence no chance to test the camera

A physical Apple Store provides much better service compared to resellers but beyond that and the buying experience, yes, you still get the same product.

Well to begin with, Apple’s original cases are super overpriced, hahaha. My budget for a premium case would be about RM150 but Apple goes way beyond that.

Also, after my first experience with a leather case last year (Nomad), I find leather cases are a little too fragile for me, it gets scratched easily and watermarks tend to stick even after you’ve wiped the case dry. Nomad says it’s all part and parcel of owning a leather case with the ageing and “beautiful patina” - but it’s not for me, hahaha…

I heard the ori Apple leather case also just as delicate, bro. Anyways, I bought the Nomad for my iPhone 12 during Black Friday sale and then bought another Nomad with MagSafe for my wife’s 12 Pro Max (after they offered me 50% discount) which she is still using now and it’s in much better condition than mine when I gave it away after I sold my iPhone 12. The ladies do tend to take care of their stuff better, hahaha…

Ya, I’ve never bought a Mous case before so I’d be willing to try it at some point, but that said it does look fairly more expensive than UAG or Spigen with MagSafe. Won’t be in a hurry to get it though since I’ll have the Ringke one to use first

It’s still a hassle to transfer files in and out of iOS compared to Android so that’s something you’d want to take note of. I love my Apple devices to bits, but I’d be the first to admit it’s not for everyone and have a hard time recommending it to my family and friends who are too used to Android phones. The switch isn’t that easy especially if you’re coming from years and years of owning Android devices (Note 2? Really?)

Went to a maxis centre over the weekend and the contract for my phone ends on October 5th, so to terminate it I’d have to pay about RM18 in penalty. I was gonna do that then was told I had an Apple Watch on contract (which I did - Apple Watch Series 5, cellular+gps which I’m paying RM60 per month on Zerolution) and it’s tied to my phone. Hence will have to pay close to RM1,500 to terminate that contract as well if I wanted to pre-order. I was indignant and argued with the officer that I wasn’t aware the Watch would be a contract tied to my phone number but that’s the way it works, hahaha.. So anyways, I can’t pre-order but I can walk in on the 8th and get one without any penalty or fee. Lesson learnt… That’s the last time I let their marketing folks upsell me anything over the phone, hahaha…

Yes, I can’t preorder online coz their system will flag my number as still having an “active contract” hence ineligible for preorder. But if I walk into their centre, they will manually waive this and I can sign up for a new contract. Or so I’ve been told

Yup, been using an Aukey charger since iPhone 11 Pro Max - no issues.

Also a UAG fan myself but this year wanna try something different, either Mous or Rhinoshield... I also bought a temporary case to tahan first while waiting to see if can get some good deals later on especially Black Friday sale in November. Aiming for one of those MagSafe compatible case.

Last year I bought Nomad direct from US with 40% discount during the Black Friday sale, my first time ever using a leather case. That one not only not suitable for kilang, not suitable for normal use also - hahaha... Very manja, a bit already scratched here and there!

My data is unlimited since I use maxis home fibre, haha.. But I'm quite sure my monthly usage is far lower than the 60GB quota of my MOP 128 - especially given the current Covid-19 WFH arrangements..
