Just a suggestion, maybe lumbar support is missing? Can try to add a piece of cushion.

If you have not purchased the new car and still thinking, why not go and check out other cars within the budget and see if it’s the same, worse or better?

Tbh Im not too bothered or I have already accepted the fact that the door cards are very flimsy haha.
*
Is Honda Malaysia cut cost on those sound insulation material inside? Im more curious for the NVH. Most shop known that the Malaysia manufactured Honda lack of those. No doubt the features is the best in our market vs other region

congrats.. any plan to install modulo bodykit too? have you research on what sort of coating + ppf you wish to do? researching which brand is a headache...  smile.gif
*
Tbh as same mentioned in this, the Honda paint is kinda thin. In my experience owning a 2015 Honda, the paint kinda lost out its glossy heading 4th year onwards. I prefer to send the car to reputable paint shop which using a better paint materials. So skip for the ppf price due to questionable factory honda paint.

Totally agree with you. Why waste a few thousands to wrap car instead of repaint car few years later. After all honda paint is nothing extraordinary compare to, like mazda soecial colour.
Was considering full wrapping which cost 6-10k and warranty is like 7 years only. Considered hybrid ppf which cost half but noting that after removing ppf there will be 2 tone of colour due to UV.
Just my 2 cents.
*
the main issue is yellowish after daily parking under the hot sun. even with the reputable ppf brand, they will suggest to parking it under a covered area to prolong the ppf life.

yup, been using 3m crystalline. and for those who wonder i have no issue with phone signal. the staff said only affect smart tag.
so for smart tag user u might need to cut out a hole or open window for smart tag, else just use rfid will do.
*
my installer last time suggest to put crystalline while the top area of the windscreen using different tint with less IRR (<95% IRR), put the Smart Tag there via double tape.

Small displacement turbo engine always had poor fc at start stop, city driving. On Honda, the cvt itself help improve the fc. The engine excel at highway driving for fc vs NA engine with equivalent hp, in this maybe 2.4 NA

Yeah agreed, everyone have their own preferences, biases and experiences.
And that's why I mentioned mine as well as you can clearly see a stark difference in my opinions laugh.gif

I mean, when you guys mentioned FC, I sometimes feel I'm a really shitty driver, or driving a different car, or just both. laugh.gif

=Edit=
To reply your post, yes the CVT definitely helped a LOT.
they both work hand in hand.

I do wish the stepped/fake shifting can toggled on or off, regardless normal D Or S.

Also to add a like:
The arm rests, super wide that can accommodate BOTH the front passengers, or put tapau/items (of course temporary, if you speed and the food just flings front or rear, that would suck)

A dislike:
No Japanese text support on switching songs for the dash/meter cluster lol
*
Guess 90% city driving? if yes then welcome to a small displacement turbocharged engine. highway constant speed only give great FC.

Do you guys think the road noise on FE is particularly loud?

Any idea where and how much to improve the road noise at the wheel arch?

Just test drive it today...
*
Send the car to car insulation shop, add a layer of sound proofing at tyre roof. Typical ckd Honda, they cut cost for car insulation perhaps.

Aftermarket insulation where to install in KV though except cut throat at KL AUTO đŸ˜‚

so many tint to choose from. 2k to 2.5k what is the recommended one?
*
3M crystalline is one of them. but from my own experienced, Vkool is the best for heat rejection but it makes the car's GPS kinda slow to detect the location of old Merz. inb4 choose tint with spec > brand. Current car installed with Wingard Royale with IRR90%, still works great heading 7 years, while wife local car with Totalgard at IRR99% at rm900 all in.

ok thanks. I thought it would be easier to take the tint option of Ecotint as it is part of Honda's accessories price list, and within my budget. just wondering whether the tint and workmanship/service is good.

Anything ask for warranty if issue

I've driven the car at much higher speeds (but still not yet... Um, limit. To say the least)

Haven't experienced any heavy wind noise. I do have my music blasting so that may have helped.
Or, the fact that this Civic is the most quiet car I've ever personally driven / Co owned, kinda gives off very biased opinions laugh.gif

Anyways, the biggest issue with these new honeycomb grills is the lack of ability to properly fit an Ambi pur. You can force it in but it'll look... Slanted lol.

So this is a decent alternative:
[attachmentid=11129271]  [attachmentid=11129272]

I find those in can air freshener is better than those ambi pur. Usually bought from shopee which get good rating review.

Regarding on nvh, sound insulation, Toyota cars in ckd form (Altis Socar, company Camry) had better in that aspect than my Accord. I had feeling they cut cost much on that but give a better spec on our market. One shop even told me that the roof insulation kinda none on most Honda Malacca made car.

I can hear outside sound especially the motorcycle clearly in Accord while wife said it is quite on the Altis socar we rent.

I am civic fe v variant owner with 4000km on the odometer. Not a fan boy of civic. It's just a tool for me. Nothing for me to hide.

I will update at 10000 km again, if there is any issue. So far found 2 issue with current FE

1)The wind noise above 100km/h is a major flaw. I am still seeing if anyone will deal with it with after market stuff like rubber cover for the gap etc.

2)Parking sensor overreact when FE got close to an active FD or CRV
I don't experience rattling or squeaking sound .
I don't experience steering wheel rack sound.
No right suspension sound as well like raptor2022 mentioned

But this does not mean it will not happen to other civic fe owner tho, considering msia quality of honda.
*
On the related issues example of rattling, the best SC i went was Global Amity Bangi, they at least resolve my rattling at gear level case area. The invoices shown repair done and if problem happen in future, to claim new gear level parts area. Other SC like Semenyih keep said its normal for the car.

The ticking rattle sounds like being experienced in North American version also, and they already have a technical bulletin on how to resolve it (not for the owners but service centres of course):

Would take conventional torque converter anytime and suffer 20%  more in fuel consumption

Be it at X50,. X70 at 10km/l for city driving, everyone complaint it is a drinking fuel machine. Need to understand that how small displacement turbocharger engine work, only good at certain driving conditions, ie highway vs NA with equivalent hp

10km/l for city driving is alright.

my 2liter cvt city driving is 7-8km/liter.

high way straight 120kmh only can get 12km/liter.
rm100k above car, should not worry about FC though.

ok, let me put it this way, 1.5turbo roadtax is rm90. they save like rm300 compared to 2liter car.

rm300 about 150liter petrol, 10km/liter

so they save about 1500km free, from roadtax alone.

if you travel 15000km a year, you get a 10% extra distance.
brows.gif
edit: i dont trust the reading on the meter though. just count full tank to full tank versus distance travelled should be the more accurate one.
*
What car is that 2.0 CVT? My 2.4 Accord with 5 gear auto, 100 city give 9km/l, combination highway gets 13km/l, constant highway cruise at 120kmh gets 15.5km/l. I believe the stock use of 0w20 helps in getting that FC.

Agree on no need to figure out about FC. I prefer car with bigger fuel tank, so no need to visit petrol station frequently. Waja is one of the car with a big fuel tank, rm95-100 for full fill up from empty sign, gets 600km per range, Mitsubishi old engine.

Just found out that the 9" HU resolution is 1280x720 (HD resolution). Previous FC HU resolution was 800x480
*
This HU is latest model following the g10 Accord. Heard rumours new HRV following UMW plan, gets aftermarket HU on our region.
