I think now every civic fe eligible for steering rack replace. it is a full recall according to my sc, once the part arrive, can arrange replacement. not sure how lasting is the new part..
even Taycan steering system gave problem in less than a year.

I just got my steering rack replaced as part of the product recall. They told me that the parts used is different from the old ones. So far so good no issues 

Main reason for 1K is to dispose engine oil that have metal debris from within the engine due to initial friction between the internal engine parts. Try not to delay 1st and 2nd service oil change due to that. Not the end of the world if delay change but do you want any possible metallic debris flowing around your engine parts?

Many new cars nowadays already use better EO direct from factory. I believe Honda also no oil change at 1k km but you can pay extra for it

If I remember correctly, my ehev 1k service also just checking.  No EO change.  They just and tighten anything that may be loose.

FYI, car engine already revved to the max in factory prior to being installed into the car.... and before they put in all the speed limiter.

Lol my steering rack issue came back again.

Ehev, lasted for 5 months. Low speed driving cant really feel, but high speed yes. The funny thing is. If u open LKA, the steering sendiri operate looks so smooth, but u try turn steering urself become like sticky 😂

Maybe not yet in msia got ppl die of steering rack issue so honda still quiet.

there is the pedestrian acoustic sound that can be disabled, so i wonder how does it sound like if it is enabled. Check youtube is if the car in reverse mode it will emit some sound and at below 20km/h in EV mode also will have sound. Just dunno malaysia one how it is implemented.

Had a few roadkill on cat and dog since i got the car, especially at low speed and at night suddenly cat ran out from side.. quite dangerous the car is dead silent especially if even the aircond compressor is not running at night then fan also no running.

My 2 year car is on my 3rd steering rack

First was sound and sticky steering, then second is sound only, now 3rd it's STILL normal but let's see how long it last.

The car is nice but quality memang bleh. I've a FC and City GM6 but way better built than this.

congrats to me. 68 days later and 4000km later, i already can feel sticky on my steering above 70kmh

tat one is to clean carbon deposit la i believe. at direct injection head but cant really help much on valves. ehev engine also direct injection NA engine 

Tat is toyota engine i think? If DI means it is direct in piston chamber, if not then is port injection already, cannot call DI

Is it worth to get Civic eHEV now? SA are offering 10 - 12k rebate. Personally I feel its damm worth for the powertrain itself but just a bit concerned with the steering rack issues although there's rumours flying around that latest batches are using an updated part now
