As I know
when the car arrive at the dealer, they will do a PDI checking

here the dealer people will doo all standard checking, remove all protective plastics, wash the car, and get it ready before delivery to you hands

numbers registration usually included

user posted image

but this is without selection of numbers for you plate

if you want to select a preferred state and numbers then you can pay some runner fee (~RM100) to go check number for you
then you pay another RM310 to buy that number plate

then the SA should be doing all the stuff for you

Usually SA will ask for several numbers you want to choose from
they dont want to go back and forth with their guy to check number available at JPJ during that time

one other way is to register mysikap to check and buy current abailable running numbers
once bought, just print the receipt and give to the SA to register to the car

remember to register to your name and the receipt bearing your details

I do give a free service for anyone that wanna check current available running numbers
(i have a thread in the F&F section)

i can check what's available during the time of query, but i cannot buy for you
you then can choose to give the info to runner or go jpj to buy on your own
but make it fast, and the number might be sold/passed if left for more than 3 days (like KL plates) or a week (other less popular states)
*
thanks for the detailed explanation.

i already gotten my FE plate which i bid during April, already sent the JPJ letter to the SA.

how do u guy find on current gen built quality?
*
1 week plus owning it. i feel the build quality (fit and finish) much better than FC, 2019 CRV (wife's car).

not sure how it will be down the years, but i am prepared to have some rattling sounds here n there, as long as it drives well/handles well, that doesn't bother me.

Hey Guys,

I know a bit late to put in for booking for the Civic FE but just wondering if its still worth the wait?
Checked with the Sales as the waiting period for both HRV and Civic ranges from 9 months to 12 months.

Plus it was noted the interest rates will be raised in the next couple of months.

Still worth it?

Thx!
*
If you’re in for c segments, yes it’s worth the wait. If u can live with some HM QC problems.

If u want a more premium c segment , can have a look at the CBU Mazda 3 but that’s more expensive by about 20k I think for the 2.0 high sedan
CBU Japan doesn’t mean u won’t have rattle sounds from dashboards, my colleague’s M3 dashboard rattles too, in less than a year of ownership

Thanks guys, been informative.
What sorta HM QC problems?

Well definitely into C-Seg cars, particularly Sedan. Currently driving the Mazda 3 BM with GVC.
Just wanted a little more poke and a bit more practicality and space in the back.

so far from what i gathered in FB group.

door panel rattling
a pillar rattling
seat belt buckle rattle (can be self solved with some wd40)
steering rack

before i got my FE, i've set my mindset to accept rattling noises, most important is how the car drives and handles. 1 month into ownership, my door panels has very slight rattling and i did not bother much, and not planning to complain during 1st Visit to SC this coming Friday.

maybe age had caught up to me, i remember 10 years ago a little rattle in my new car makes me go nuts.

Just my sharing, because recently i see many complaints on FB (Protons, Mazdas, Hondas, Toyotas, etc) , little rattle already emo.
Car is to service us , not we service the car icon_idea.gif

Mm hmm, you practically summed it.
- So from my end, I'm not sure if this is a justifiable change (nor the wait, but I am willing to be proven wrong). So far I'm pretty swayed for a change.

I'm fine with the Android Auto or not (With the Mazda 3), just an option in the aftermarket that's all.
*
i would say just do some calculation on your current car price, and how much to top up to get the FE, if you're ok with that amount, just go ahead.
i feel 2022 is the year to sell off your old car with good price. tongue.gif

Never thought of this, but yeah you raised a good point.

Hhmm, 5 years old car , fully paid off.
For me I will wait next year only decide. If the car is functioning well, I would just use it. I believe other than the turbo charged FE, the m3 still drives well
