Next week I will drive to Johor from Penang, is there a problem if I drive 170-180 kmph most of time on highway whenever fast lane has no vehicle in front?

Will CVT overheat or causing any reliability issue?
*
should be ok i guess, xkan Honda engineers design the car to drive at 110-120 only.

just enjoy the car and don't worry too much

The wheel arch gap is smaller on the rear left compare to rear right

don't think so or at least didn't notice.

i'm definitely not particular of fender gaps and that's how i am perfectly ok with my stock wheels on my own car ( Dec 2017, running 6th years, and never changed wheels/rims) and of course this Civic FE e spec 16" lol.
*
about 1-2mm only. i try with fingers

i think is because of the petrol tank is on the rear left.. biggrin.gif

just my OCD.

If I’m still waiting for the turbo RS now, I might get the hybrid.

But I believe hybrid OTR would be near to 170k.

Makes my 4 month old 140k OTR V spec a good buy 🫣😂 (syok sendiri and self comforting)

makes my 125k E spec lagi syok sendiri lol. Literally another myvi. In the end though, we all get what we pay.

I sometimes pine for the large rims, leather seat and 9in ICE. Now we pine for the 10.2 instrument panel and monstrous torque.

Janji safe on the road sudah la...

Yeah.. the only thing I hope to have is the digital instrument.

I wonder if the hybrid version comes with full Bose sound system.. if it does that would be awesome

my door panels have some sound when on rough road surfaces, not always but its there.

if 10 years back when i was young, i think im already going crazy. MUST solve immediately. Nowadays im too lazy to be bothered by these.

Age has caught up i guess. AS long as the car drives well, these are small issues.

Door panels rattling, I believe if we go outside and soundproof the doors. Those pros will know how to catch the sounds..

My previous car door panel after 7 years only solved by sound proofing shop..

Btw, is it just me or others think this as well.

Honda’s paint is quite thin? Compare to my previous car. I feel it’s quite thin. Mild mild scratches super easily

so better to invest PPF coating?
*
To me if ppf only front bumper/portion still acceptable..

But if ppf the whole car.. might as well save up the money and repaint after 4-5 years.

But that’s just my opinion. I’m too kedekut to spend on ppf.

repaint whole car can cost around 6k right? and when repaint, they will also need to open everything.. and dunno la over west msia, at sarawak here my fren bought a second hand civic and repaint, took like 1 month plus to complete everything lol.
*
I think if outside only is around 3-4k.. not sure.. never painted before my previous cars.

i've read on fb groups people do PPF the whole car, main intention is to retain the resale value of the car.
So far i notice when selling off old cars, their first thing will be mileage/engine/suspensions etc.

Paint chips/ scratches will be the last thing to see, as long as nothing major. (Base on my previous car selling)

so for example if we ppf the whole car for 7-8k (not sure market price), next time sell car, must add on the at least 7-8k to the selling price of the old car brows.gif

Just asking if anyone here did apply screen protector to the instrument cluster panel? Thinking of doing but very less touch it lol. Just during wiping will have hairline scratches if it is plastic.
*
i would say just leave it as it is.. imagine after few years the protector plastic harden and when removing it might damage the panel..

hairline scratches...just leave it

Hi Sifus, receiving my car in a few days... just wondering if there is anything that I should look out for in general?
*
during my car collection i checked:

- Chassis number tally with car grant

-the doors, boot, hood by opening the widest.

-paint/scratches, mine is black so during collection already can see some light swirl marks due to washing, understandable i just ignore.
and there's a small spot of paint defect on the passenger door, SA offer me to redo but i just tell him its ok. only noticeable at certain angle.

-i took out all seats plastic cover to check the leather

-checked instrument panels, headunit, A/C, etc. My SA go through with me the functions. Take your time, as for me it takes some time to process the functions.

- Right after i left the showroom, i went to petrol station to release some tire pressure.

and most importantly, take a nice photo with a big ribbon biggrin.gif

Hi civic fe members,
Did anyone here uses K&N or BMC drop in filter. If yes, did it improve the low end torque.
And Will it void warranty. Any idea.
Thank you.
*
anything u do to the engine, high chance HM will void your warranty

if its just drop in filter, before go to SC just swap back original filter.

as for performance, on my previous car, k&N drop in do improve the low end , but not much. it just lets your engine breath easier.

any owners already experiencing rattling or constant clicking sound on driver side passenger or door? and have you solved it?

when to SC once, they couldnt pinpoint so didnt fix. now come back

video below

https://youtube.com/shorts/5jqVx9wH3l8
*
i tried removing the passenger side door panel and rectify the problem.
went for a test drive without the door panel, rattling noise disappeared, so the noise is from the panel itself.

tighten some screws behind the panel, especially the 4 screws holding the ambient light case (mine is V spec there's no ambient light but the black casing is there)

installed back, sound gone but occasionally still appear. its the ambient light casing rubbing against the panel.

Anyone has any idea whether the dash screen can display maps? I have it connected to Apple Carplay but i wonder whether it is possible to display like waze on the dashboard screen.

Right now, when i turn the signal light, the lane watch will turn on, and cover the waze so its blocking the view. Thus, i wonder whether its possible to display it on the dash screen instead.

awesome man. thanks. i use this to guide those SC guys. first civic for me and sounds coming all over. dissapointed
*
luckily i managed to rectify the sound, but once a while it still come back, i have to press that area and the rattle sound is gone.
when i'm free im going to remove again and put some thin black foam in between the ambient light case and door panel. that should solve it i believe

user posted image

from here i think there're more than 4 screws holding the ambient light case, i retighten them and noticed 4 were slight loose, if you were to diy, try not to overtighten it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZE4ScT1lsE
i followed this guide to remove the door panel, relatively easy

user posted image
i went for a test drive like this to make sure the sound is not from inside the door area, lucky for me it wasn't. if it is from the inner part, im going to just let SC do it, which sometimes i doubt they'll even solve it. thats olso the reason why i try to diy to solve it first before i complain to SC

Imagine SC tells u its normal, they cant hear anything, problem solved.. but the sound is still there.. tongue.gif
