QUOTE(zack.gap @ Oct 23 2024, 06:27 AM) Based on other’s experience here, i’m most likely gonna swap my civic for something else next year. No way do i wanna make the rack replacement a yearly affair and I don’t want to think after warranty care how At this rate I’ve given up bro. It looks like a global design issue and as much as I love driving my civic, I care more about reliability than fun lol. And my batch was the mass recall in April Reading this , at least I know not only me feeling the same about getting rid of the civic 😜 Well, life is short, no point we have to susahkan diri with things that will annoy us almost everyday.

QUOTE(overfloe @ Nov 6 2024, 11:38 AM) i hope this is for good. some owners replaced the grease outside (not in SC). not sure if Honda knows the culprit is grease, rather than replacing the steering rack. i hope SC will do a proper job for this recall

QUOTE(ilovestitch @ Nov 6 2024, 05:44 PM) i wonder how u guys feel ? yes! we all see there is announcement for recall. But do you guys still have confidence to 'Honda'? Nope for me. No more confidence. The way the SC at my area handle my previous claims. Already lost confidence

QUOTE(death_nite @ Dec 3 2024, 10:30 AM) Just had my parking sensor module changed. Waiting time for approval and parts around 2 weeks. Symptom is cross sensing when staying behind crv or civic. Front parking sensor goes crazy even the distance is far. Too bad didnt encounter any crv/civic otw back home. Lol. my SC doesnt want to replace for me. they told me its normal..

QUOTE(incredibless @ Aug 11 2025, 01:14 AM) Considering to trade off my mazda 3 BM for the civic FE Facelift but i do aware that the steering rack is an issue other than that any other issues? So far my 10-year 278k km Mazda doesn't have any major issues except lower arm but that has already been addressed. Still drives good and all parts are still original fitted since day 1. Not sure is a good decision or better to hold off for other cars. Im considering a better power upgrade and since the new Mazda 3 uses same engine so meh...any comments? or feel like sharing? since its still drives good, i would just wait.. now is august, 4 more months to 2026. getting a car now would be like getting a year end car to me. i got my m3 bp is august 2024, due to i wanna get rid of my kanasai/problematic FE ASAP as news of facelift was launching soon and since its already facelifted, in 2 years new model will be out.. thats just my POV, its still up to you..

QUOTE(isr25 @ Oct 18 2025, 04:54 PM) Just sharing with friends here. I just sold my car for RM98k to a car dealer who had a ready buyer. Carro offered 95k Nett and Carsome offered 96k Nett. Dealer swooped in with 98K Nett. My car was the 2022 Honda Civic RS, is excellent condition. I left my wheel nut and Viofo A129 Pro Duo dashcam with the car - lazy to uninstall it and sell off separately. Thus, I officially end my membership of the Honda Civic 11th Gen LYN thread. May you all enjoy your ride and ownership of the car! i sold my 2022 v spec for around 96k last year. i guess if i were to sell it this year, it would be around 85 only.

QUOTE(lee82gx @ Oct 20 2025, 03:04 PM) When ppl fall in love with the car. We tend to ignore the bad things. My bro in law accord also kena and I ignore. A few of my friends city also kena steering rack, I also ignore. Now the affair ended . Tbh I don’t mind the clicky sound. But the sticking steering is dangerous, as it does not return to center when released. Will make you sh!tbrix for 0.2s during corners. Yes it’s the sticky steering which I cannot see pass..

QUOTE(bearbear @ Nov 14 2025, 06:44 PM) Tested the RS and felt so bumpy, the V will be much better in term of comfort ? Almost every showroom only can test RS Due to the high profile tires on the RS and maybe high tire pressure The V will be much better in comfort.
