Yup..... but I like the poster wall... hahaa..... so I tend to use poster wall to start the movie. Unless the menu can't work, then i try play normal using poster wall as well. Initially when i got the device, i just use the folder to watch the movie, after play around with poster wall kind of like it.... at least the matching is easier... just sometime will map to wrong one.

The VS10 engine is converting even HDR10 to DV as well, if it is native DV movie content it will shown DV icon on top left, else it will shown VS10 with DV.

I didnt considered Z10pro instead, i was looking at Z9X, in fact i almost wan place order for tat, until i visit the shop n talk to the sales guy, then just pay extra for better player...... pray hard it can last like my DUNE player....

Now thinking whether to get some physical disc with 4k UHD player....  

haha.... yup I know....i also got quite a number of 1080P bluray bought from Amazon last time. and I got 2 full HD bluray player still running fine.

maybe shall wait for next year AV show..... see got cheap player or not....

I got the chance to see the different  DV vs Hdr 10+ in My friend AV system.  He use OPPO 205 BD player & Panasonic  calibrated oled TV ,  Procella 5.4.2 atmos sound system.  We are use the Alita: Battle Angel original UHD Bluray Disc .  We all prefer Hdr 10 +  than DV,    Hdr 10+ picture  more cinematic .  We also notice even using same atmos english sound track.  When we are switch to Hdr 10+ ,  Sound track become more dynamic than  DV.  May be DV need BD player more processing power  so affect player sound output performance.

Not all movies have 4K sources. New ones from Hollywood  yes, Netflix also but I also watch Hongkie movies a lot. So I don’t want to discriminate 😂

ok something weird happen when I was trying to watch Shang chi on this new zidoo

tested last week with a surcode file, no audio from truehd
try switching to 5.1, crackling sound

delete file and tried with new file with 3 audio, truehd, dtshdma and 5.1
same issue pertain, both HD sound not working

check audio settings, tried other files, no issue
then I turn off the DV function, no conversion of video, as is

then everything back to normal

is this because of my chapalang hdmi cable or wat? bandwidth too high? stuck ?
connection is zidoo > soundbar > teebee

just check, 10 bit sdr file

don't think I have any DV files, but this thing can convert to DV if I choose to

1st time I encounter such issues, so not hdmi cable problem?

I have tried 2 diff files, both has such issues if I play with DV engine

hmm... in fact i didnt really compare with Z10Pro, but with Z9X, I'm more towards the Z1000 pro due to the chassis design is similar to my previous DUNE HD Base 3.0 media player.

I personally think the z9x or z1000 pro considerations would be base on your usage, I'm not too sure the image or audio would be better

as for me because I purely stream from NAS and I can't afford the z1000 pro, hence I go for the cheapskate z9x

but but hor... recently I try the z9x, barang kali few times jump out to the main page, macam HT app or the player not stable

just stick to the zidoo shifu, for now

we all been using all these boxes for years

we all know how important the updates and support is, seems zidoo doing quite an ok job if u not nit picking

The components seem better than Z1000pro, given that you have XRL and RAM is 4GB. Dune website selling @ US699..... but sold out already...  

Wondering if ordered directly from their website, how much the landed cost and whether need SIRIM certification or not.  

Hmm... tax, sirim is 1 concern lo..... but warranty should be ok, their product is shipping out from HK.

in fact my dune no given issue for past 10 years.... just that after kena lightning strike, a bit siao siao, sometime start up navigate until certain movies, it will reboot itself....  

So now my dune is kept in box liao...

wait i strike lottery, then maybe can try dune player...
