Based on the training school advise..
When u fight with kirin.. just make sure u runaway/dodge when kirin's neck start to shine (rage mode)..

try to use fire/dragon elem weapon.. but its better u use poison weapon.. its effective on kirin..
use at least green sharp weapon..

i use katana verde still i cant seem to kill it. damn. and i need grank rathian carves to upgrade it. graah i'll try again later. garugas to vent my anger.

how is poison damage calculated? Let's say got weapon with poison attribute 100. Meaning....each second minus 100 raw hp?

Just started playing this game two days before the fast breaking gathering. And it's awesome.

Got a question here, how do you get a cephalos to surface? Besides using Sonic Bombs. I mean, lets say I ran out of Sonic Bombs after killing a few of them. Then what? Anything useful I can use?

Small barrel bombs works too for that matter.. but you have to get the timing right and the explosion has to be within the radius of the cephalos..

It's really simple using Small Barrel Bombs, just wait till he start shooting his sands then run next to it and plant one. When it blows, you got yourself one fish on the surface.


I love too but with my current armor I think I'd get KO'd even the slightest hit lol. I'm still wearing that old Tigarex armor lol, Def only 275 lol. If a G Rank Rage Rathalos can take away 85% of my HP, imagine what Fatalis can do haha. xD

Gonna farm back my old Reosoul armor from MH2. I miss that armor.

each monster poison resistance is differ from each other
the attribute is not the damage, it is the accumulator

Example:
a weapon with 500 poison attribute and green sharpness
500/10 = 50 true value

take los for test, los poison resistance 110
means after 2-3 hits, los will be poisoned, at the same time, resistance up by 75
means the nx time to poison it, will need 4-5 hits (185) resistance
max resistance will up until 410
while in poison, each second will take down 5dmg, and lasted until 360dmg
when the target is reached, poison effect wore off

i dont think there's another way.
i fought hr 5 or sumthing like that i took me 40 minutes!
just to wait for it to come out. =.="

what makes reosoul armor anyway? and a good armor for withstanding grank average wyverns for blademaster?

but even if i hit kirin with the katana verde, it never gets poisoned.
