i think it's better give them normal dog's treats cause sausage that human eat is too salty eventhough we can taste it out...

Some people overseas use sausages as treats coz they think it is healthier since humans can eat. But after seeing how sausage in commercial factories is made on TV, better not give.

It is full of MSG and salt, alot of chicken fats and artificial flavourings. I rather get dehydrated dog treats.

My dogs love puffed venison. I forgot what brand but it is a natural dog treat brand, dehydrate the meat only with no preservatives or salt.

actually it's not advisable to give your dog too many "xtra" on their diet (which is kibbles)... you may mix it with boiled chic/pork maybe as special treats of the week/month but not recommended everyday... as the soup also don't make it a habit like every meal also will soak it with soup..if they taste so yummy meal everyday, they will refuse normal kibbles when they grow up...they will keep demanding for more chic/pork and might change to meat diet only later on...some dogs will chose to eat the meat and throw out the kibbles back..they are smart enough to differentiate what is tasty and add on the flavour on their food eventually...

you actually can soften the kibbles with warm water and left it for about 5-8 minutes before serve it to your dog...if your dog already on your special diet for long, they might refuse to eat for the first few days/times..be patient and teach them to follow your rules not theirs appetite... choose the best suitable and nutritious kibbles for your dog and stick to it... good kibbles actually provides enough nutrition for a dog need and no supplement needed...

Lynn_Ong, it is good for dog to eat hard food. It helps to clean their teeth and get rid of tartar build up. Maybe you can change to those kibbles with smaller size? Evanger Pheasant & brown rice's kibbles size is small. Acana Lamb & Apple also fine. Another small size kibbles is Eagle Pack holistic select.

I'm giving them Blue Seal and one vegetarian pack, got informed that Orijen is not for small sized dogs and Science Plan gives them skin allergy.

If you blend the food, then you are gonna have a dog with very bad breath and dirty teeth when it gets older. Why kibbles are made hard is to make the dog chew and crunch and this is beneficial for the gums and teeth.

What you are doing is spoiling your dog. This will in turn give you more problems later as he grows older. I had 1 dog like that once, had to make special food everyday till the day he died and it wasn't healthy. Bad gums, rotten teeth, so many times kena go vet to clean and pull out bad teeth. You may think what you are giving is healthy but it isn't a good and complete diet.

Keep to kibbles. It is meant to be hard and crunchy as it has a purpose. Stop the boiled meat and soup everyday. Just use as treats or on very special occasions.

I just adopted a 1 year old labrador mix from SPCA. Currently waiting for his jabs before I can take him home. What brand should I feed him? Would Royal Canin be a good brand for him?

I have notice changes in Hugo's body. It seems like He is not suitable to take Acana. Now in the process changing to Natural Balance.
Will monitor and see how it goes.

off topic,
Anyone came across Shampoo for dog topic?
