I am not saying it is not more contagious but to say everyone will get infected within 15 seconds is scaremongering.

People read the title and become scared but they never read the rest of the article. Let me point you to another paragraph.

No doubt the risk is much higher now compared to the earlier variants but the transmission mode has not really changed.

Airborne is still droplets and ventilation is still the key. Mask, washing hands, etc. is still the right SOP.

I am not saying we should let our guard down but he needs to be consistent with his talk.

Like I say before, one day he scaremonger then another day, he says things like 90%+ are in category 1 and 2.

Not misunderstand. When he said airborne and 15 seconds, a lot of people really panic and they take it literally.

There are people who panic until they think they should shut all windows and spend all their time indoors.

The 15 seconds infection could happen but it is not like it will happen every time you meet a person. Again I am not saying Delta variant is not dangerous.

Like I repeatedly say before, ventilation is still the main factor of transmission but our government has never said a thing about this.

That is why we keep hearing people stressed out when they see people jogging or cycling outdoor.

Funny thing is all the hype and articles points back to this Aussie source. It would be better if there was more research info or peer reviewed info as I find it strange that we know it's more transmissible, but most are still saying due to the viral load of the infected person, not just because of how many x seconds you are exposed to it. Feels a bit unscientific that's all.
